Civil lawsuits can have criminal elements to them.

If it is found that Rendell was being influenced by corrupt organized labor, RICO charges could be filed by the state. There is nothing wrong with Klayman bringing out these facts in his civil case against Rendell. Indeed, it would be quite helpful to the government.

No they cannot. There is something called "civil Rico" but it is not a criminal element. Just as OJ was sued for "wrongful death". He was "convicted" but do you see him in jail?
