CBS Market Watch "Big Charts" Web Site ^ | 7/10/2002 | MarketWatch.com

12:57PM Halliburton responds to Judicial Watch lawsuit (HAL) by Michael Baron Halliburton (HAL) is off 30 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $13.82, in midday action. The company is out with a press release responding to a lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch, a Washington, D.C.-based legal watchdog group. The suit alleges fraudulent accounting practices at Halliburton took place during the period when current vice president Dick Cheney served as its chairman and CEO. Halliburton called the claims in the suit, "untrue, unsupported, and unfounded." The company continued: "We are working diligently with the SEC to resolve its questions regarding the company's accounting procedures. Halliburton has always followed and will continue to follow guidelines established by the SEC and GAAP, General Accepted Accounting Principles."

Registered has become a caricature of his "work". Someday he may realize his situation, but I highly doubt it.

I appreciate the concern, but pull the cedar from thy eye first before acknowledging my splinter.

It is true that Klayman's suits against the vice-president seem to be getting a lot more publicity for him than his suits against Democrats did.

If they also get him more donations, I'd look for them to continue.

everyone that disagrees with YOU is a socialist

Not necessarily. They could just be misinformed about the role of government as determined by the Constitution.

Ta Ta to you also Fred, I guess that "higher" ground is you going to your room filled with LK kitsch.

Then why the vociferous defense of FIJC, she is a LK bootlicker if there ever was one.

I think the comments directed at her have been too vicious, and very personal. The worst have since been pulled. My defense is of that, even though I disagree with her position on LK.

So when Rush was railing against HillaryCare some years back, he was really pushing hundreds of thousands of voters over to the Dem side with his tactics?

The problem seems to be that the majority of Americans, after the War on Terror, are most concerned with health care, education, social security, and the economy. That is, they want the GOVERNMENT to do something about those things. And they think the Democrats are more likely to do something about those things.

So, you say, the government shouldn't be doing those things, and we Republicans aren't going to vote for them!

And the voters say, Fine, but we want someone who will vote for those things, so we're voting Democrat!

I think that's the problem.

No it is not the role they have a problem with

It is your solution to the problem .. just how in the heck do you expect to achieve this goal of yours

Just tell folks .. it's not in the constitution so you are sh!t out of luck

Like I said .. talk like that and you give the dems EXACTLY what they want ..

VOTERS and if that happens .. I think we can agree .. We can kiss the Constitution good bye

And the solution is education. Educate the voters. Tell them why socialized medicine and the other Dem issues is bad and Unconstitutional. Don't try to win votes by stealing the Dem issues away. That just gives us watered down socialism. That's not a win in my book. When you compromise with evil, you always lose.

So what is your solution? Compromise so we only have a half-socialistic bill passed, instead of a full-fledged one? I don't agree with that tactic.

Like she doesn't do that herself?

JMO, but FIJC sure can dish it out but cries and whines when taking her own words.

FIJC has turned this thread into her own little personal soap opera and that is not surprising that she is one of LK's biggest fans on FR.

If that is what they are and they know it, I don't see a problem with calling a spade a spade. Those types will never be won to our side. Their minds are made up.

Amelia, what you are endorsing is the shredding of the Constitution, where the Government does all for all and the people become tax slaves (as if we aren't already there). Let the voters that believe the government should do these things for them vote for the Democrats, after they've lost their freedoms and liberty they might wake up.

You are so right. This case is going to get a LOT of publicity and scrutiny. Somehow, I don't think Klayman can take that.

I can't claim to have read all (or even most) of her comments. If she directed the level of vitriol at others I've seen pointed her way, I would castigate her for it as well.

I just did a control + F search on every page of this thread. I found only 2 posts (28 and 30) removed by Admin Moderator (which FIJC got snippy about it in post #246), and one by Howlin to ???Registered???. I don't see anywhere anything that might be called "the worst" has been removed from this thread. Anyone who wants to defend FIJC needs to read #246 and several posts following that. She reminds me of a snotty, spoiled brat.
