12:57PM Halliburton responds to Judicial Watch lawsuit (HAL) by Michael Baron Halliburton (HAL) is off 30 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $13.82, in midday action. The company is out with a press release responding to a lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch, a Washington, D.C.-based legal watchdog group. Halliburton called the claims in the suit, "untrue, unsupported, and unfounded." It tells me you have issues with women......and the fact that most people who don't agree with you ARE women who see through you. Women are like that.
That's funny, because my FReepmail is running 2:1 against the bullying tactics and idiocy that you've been displaying...and most are from women.
To: Howlin
If you are at all interested in why we do not ordain women in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, this
LINK gives a very good explanation and the scriptural references that spell it out.

Was that an answer? Your personal poll?
Wanna see mine, Big Boy????? ROFLMAO.
You're a silly man who gossips and snipes just like a b*tchy woman, IMO.

Do you all believe that organizations or religions that do not follow Christianity are "anti-Christian?"
To: Howlin
As long as you're here, is this the way your church believes?
How about your Church? Does it allow women to be pastors, ministers or priests? I've got a bet riding on this...

Wanna see mine, Big Boy?????
I seem to have lost my appetite...

My religion is none of your business.
Now you can feel free to call me an anti-Christian.

You're the one bragging about YOURS. Good grief, you're worse than a high school girl. Are you under the impression this place is a popularity contest?

Hehehe, let's change that for a moment:
Do you all believe that organizations or people that do not follow the Bush Administration are "anti-Bush?"
To: Howlin
With that answer I won the bet. Thanks ;-)
BTW, do you normally ask questions of people that you wouldn't volunteer to answer yourself?
To: Registered
We were discussing HER religion; if I want to discuss mine, I will.
BTW, I do have a religion, so you lost the bet.
To: Howlin
Do you all believe that organizations or religions that do not follow Christianity are "anti-Christian?"No. Organizations that do not follow Christianity are simply not Christian.
Just like Skippy peanut butter is not Jif peanut butter. It does not mean that it's anti-peanut butter.
That is not to say that there is any other legitimate religion to a Christian or that non-Christian religions agree with Christians.
But again, it is not a matter of "anti" anything.

We all already know that anybody who isn't of the same religion as you are is anti-Christian.

Oh really, where did I say that? Or are you like the All-Knowing Oz?

Anything that teaches a doctrine apart from Christ is "anti-Christian". As far as these oaths, Masons take them very seriously and most have fears of being harmed by others if they were to break rank.
Do all men worship the same God? Ask a Mason that question. But you're right, this belongs in the religion forum!

I'd stand by that statement and can back it up scripturally. Would you like to move over to the religion forum?

Would you like to move over to the religion forum? Please do. At least do it some other place than here. Thanks in advance.
PS - I don't believe in female priests either; I'm an agnostic near atheist.

LOL. The P.S. was a killer.

I think it is very basic to realize that every religion/philosophy outside of Christianity is obviously not Christian. Duh !!!
However that is very different than describing a non-Christian person or group as anti-Christian. Do we call all people that are not Jews, anti-semites????? Of course not.
It connotes and, for all intents and purposes, means strong oppostion to or hatred for.
It would be utterly absurd to consider all things not Christian to be Christian haters. Thus the term anti-Christian, to most people, is understood to be a case of hatred, prejudice, vengeance toward, etc. and it does not apply to the majority of non-Christians.

Which is why I put anti-Christian in quotes, which was a term used by the poster before me. The article that I had linked to concerning the Masons provides an excellent overview of Masonry and why many in the Christian Church deem it evil or "anti-Christian".
