12:57PM Halliburton responds to Judicial Watch lawsuit (HAL) by Michael Baron Halliburton (HAL) is off 30 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $13.82, in midday action. The company is out with a press release responding to a lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch, a Washington, D.C.-based legal watchdog group. The suit alleges fraudulent accounting practices at Halliburton took place during the period when current vice president Dick Cheney served as its chairman and CEO. Halliburton called the claims in the suit, "untrue, unsupported, and unfounded." The company continued: "We are working diligently with the SEC to resolve its questions regarding the company's accounting procedures. Halliburton has always followed and will continue to follow guidelines established by the SEC and GAAP, General Accepted Accounting Principles."
My parents were FDR democrats.
Isn't that enough to dispense with the apron formality? Knowing that someone like me will go forth and thus push their political views on everyone who will listen?
My grandfather was VERY high up ( 33rd degree ) and had held the HIGHEST offices in his Bluye Lodge as well as in his other orders. I know, for a FACT, that he did NOT wear any of his aprons when he was buried. I have them . I was at the funeral and the burial and I was old enough to know what was going on. Absolutely NO ONE pestered my mother, nor anyone else in the family, about putting putting him in his apron. I can only go by what I have, myself seen, at family funerals of Masons.
Well, anyway I liked the masons till that point.. I really wanted to join.
But to torture a widow like that just burned me.. How could you do that? That's heartless.
I sincerely hope it was a couple of rogues..
And FR would have welcomed him openly.
My grandpa lived Conservatism..
And like I said, I hope it was rogues.. because I wanted to be a mason till that point.
Naaaaaaaaa ... some still haven't figured out how to make their homily (sp?) make sense .. LOL
We use to have this one priest we nick names Father Forever .. cause he would just talk and talk and talk and no one had any idea what he talked about .. LOL
I have NEVER known any Mason, who wasn't a good man. My grandfather was one of THE best ! He loved and campaigned / worked to get Teddy Roosevelt elected and told me all about him, when was a little girl. It was so much better and much more informative, than anything I ever got in school, about him.
Please don't hold this against Masonry, just take it as what it sounds like it was; some rather pecular men, doing that which is NOT part of Masonry at all.
All these things came from a high level mason.
(they for sure didn't come from my parents.. both conservatives now.. but they thought FDR was the end all President up to the time I could speak.. Thank grandpa.)
Just being silly, nopardons. I hope you didn't take it personally.
It's nice to agree, with you, finally, about something. :-)
We obviously need more ammunition..
:)
I had no idea you were a drunk.
