12:57PM Halliburton responds to Judicial Watch lawsuit (HAL) by Michael Baron Halliburton (HAL) is off 30 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $13.82, in midday action. The company is out with a press release responding to a lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch, a Washington, D.C.-based legal watchdog group. The suit alleges fraudulent accounting practices at Halliburton took place during the period when current vice president Dick Cheney served as its chairman and CEO. Halliburton called the claims in the suit, "untrue, unsupported, and unfounded." The company continued: "We are working diligently with the SEC to resolve its questions regarding the company's accounting procedures. Halliburton has always followed and will continue to follow guidelines established by the SEC and GAAP, General Accepted Accounting Principles."

It appears she has seen "Bugsy'", but not "Donnie Brasco", which was very good except that Ann Heche was in it.Agreed.
Have you read Joe Pistone's book? A few things in the movie were loosely based on reality (in reality it was Sonny Black and not Lefty who got whacked for bringing "Donnie" into the fold, for example), but yes, the movie was great.
Our resident mob expert should rent it.

You know, I seldom agree with you, and I often think your posts are stupid, and sometimes I think you enjoy being a b****, but I am finding out that you are often truly humorous! A good sense of humor is a good sign.
OKay, NOW I'm really going to bed. Lights off, kids!
To: FreedominJesusChrist
Well, thus far, all you sound like, is an idiot, an uneducated one at that.
To: Howlin
Didn't she say she wasn't going to be here long because she had other things on her mind?
The mafia implosion was great, though.

Well, that isn't a gen. ed. credit, so I don't think that's a fair thing to say. Granted, my school isn't Harvard, but it has a good atmosphere, good professors, and friendly people.
To: Fred Mertz
You got that right. LK don't color nor mix and match to suit the fantasy of some folk. If he smells corruption, then he's on it regardless of affiliation or where it may lead and who may fall.

No child has EVER been harmed, in a Masonic Temple. Now, stop this immediately !
To: nopardons
The church denomination I belong to will excommunicate you, if they find out you belong to a lodge or masonic order. They are right, those organizations are evil and anti-Christian.
To: Deb
What in the hell are you guys talking about? The IRS and the Masons. You know.

Well, that isn't a gen. ed. credit, so I don't think that's a fair thing to say. Granted, my school isn't Harvard, but it has a good atmosphere, good professors, and friendly people. So, let me get this straight: you've been in college for two years and you've had two semesters of MOB STUDIES? What will that do for you in the "real world?" Planning on opening a franchise?
To: Howlin
Actually I want to be a loanshark for new immigrants.

Wow, I didn't know children were sacrificed on those altars. A friend and I actually sneaked inside this temple of doom and were in the center of the temple looking at all the inscriptions of Thoth, Minos, Zarthustra, Muses, Manu, Confucius, and Alfred The address is 600 Plymouth (Lucerne and Wilshire). As we were exiting the door, we noticed an engraving above the door. I wished I had my camera with me but I remember bits of it saying how this temple is the key to the world. The world bows to this temple of doom and the people who serve in them. Doesn't it make you wonder where some of our missing children turn up? I do and I suspect that these might be one of them.
To: FreedominJesusChrist
No, I blame YOU. You get on threads ands pretend to know EVERYTHING about a topic, insult those who REALLT do, send then nasty FREEPmail, and lie your head off. When you don't know something, DON'T TYPE ANYTHING !
To: Howlin
Just kidding!
Why I take these classes is none of your concern and you don't care anyway.
But seriously, when of my friends was just recruited into the FBI was this program, because it is so good.

Granted, my school isn't Harvard, but it has a good atmosphere, good professors, and friendly people. So does the local pub...but it ain't Harvard either....

The church denomination I belong to will excommunicate you, if they find out you belong to a lodge or masonic order. Wait until they find out you actively support a shyster lawyer who is trying to subvert the government.
BTW, the statement "those organizations are evil and anti-Christian" is total BS and proves that, once again, you know not of which you speak.
And I say this speaking as a former Rainbow girl who is married to a Demolay guy.

Next time you go, take me with you. I have always admired Lara Croft, but if I go with you, I can BECOME her! LOL!
To: FreedominJesusChrist
Was just reading a biography of Paul Revere. Turns out, he was a Mason, big time. What the heck do these guys do? Is it like the Elks Club, where people in a boring town kill time? I gotta get inside one sometime and get to the bottom of it.
To: FreedominJesusChrist
Yes, do that. but afterwards, do NOT come back hjere. trying to claim that you know ALL about the Mafia / gangs of New York. You need to read much more on the topic.
Oh, and how about answering the questions, that I asked you, a while back ? Don't Goggle, don't look in you Cliff Notes. Either you KNOW this stuff, or you don't. :-)
To: agrandis
Well, the normal members are harmless and don't know what's going on anyway.
