12:57PM Halliburton responds to Judicial Watch lawsuit (HAL) by Michael Baron Halliburton (HAL) is off 30 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $13.82, in midday action. The company is out with a press release responding to a lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch, a Washington, D.C.-based legal watchdog group. The suit alleges fraudulent accounting practices at Halliburton took place during the period when current vice president Dick Cheney served as its chairman and CEO. Halliburton called the claims in the suit, "untrue, unsupported, and unfounded." The company continued: "We are working diligently with the SEC to resolve its questions regarding the company's accounting procedures. Halliburton has always followed and will continue to follow guidelines established by the SEC and GAAP, General Accepted Accounting Principles."

If you wanted to contact Larry, "I am sure", he'd be happy to represent you.
I cannot imagine a judge, (ok, I guess I can), that would allow any "potential investors" to be included.
It's Klayman practicing up for his next career. I'm quite certain he'll be writing for the Globe.
To: Howlin
Ooooooh...she's gonna holler over that one!
ROFLMAO
To: McGavin999
And the head of the organization can make completely false statements, such as "Dick Cheney is the defacto head of the United States and runs the country on a day to day basis," and not to stop with that, "George W. Bush said that Dick Cheney is immune from the law."

Hey, I know a BUNCH of people who donated to a Non-Profit organization because they represented themselves as one way and then turned out to be completely different. I wonder if Judicial Watch would represent them in a fraud case against the organization?
To: Howlin
WHAT? You've got to be kidding?
To: Howlin
Hey Howlin, I'll bet we could find a BUNCH of Freepers who donated to Klayman who would be willing to file a class action suit against JW for fraud.
To: McGavin999
I doubt it. Too small-potatos for Larry. He's gunning for the big fish. That way in his own sick little mind somebody will notice him and make him Attorney General.
To: terilyn
Actually, I was talking about JW suing JW. I hear they've got LOTS of money.
To: Howlin
I guess Larry and Jesse Jackson can make their appointments at the same time

I've heard a couple of commentators make that same, "suing his mother" remark.
Poor Larry, the one case he wins and he's not too happy about being reminded about it day after day.

Hey ... it isn't even a " pot / kettle " thingy. All poor little Rebbeckie can do, is act juvenile, when she is proven wrong ( which is ALL of the time ) and she goes off into a childish tantrum, against her betters. :-)
To: terilyn
OK .. Chris Mathews is gonna talk about Cheney

Your utter lack of knowledge, about the STock Market ( or , evidently, any other of the markets ) is palable ! No one " sued " after the Crash of '29, or the most recent one, in '87. No one sued Joe Kennedy, who, FYI, made the '29 one, much worse and actually ruined what was about to become an uptick, since he and jis pals were shorting the Market. I know enough not to invest in the stock market these days. BTW, my dad survived the '29 crash and is still around to talk about it. That crash was long planned to create the socialist/communist New Deal Policy which was what got us all under the social security fraud and all these other worthless welfare programs which have ultimately brought the standard of American living down. I know history a little deeper than the crap they taught us in college. Do you think they teach students anything about investing in the stock market or something practical? Hell no...they teach us to be dependant good little commies.
BTW, the next crash is just around the corner. Hope you're prepared.
