12:57PM Halliburton responds to Judicial Watch lawsuit (HAL) by Michael Baron Halliburton (HAL) is off 30 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $13.82, in midday action. The company is out with a press release responding to a lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch, a Washington, D.C.-based legal watchdog group. The suit alleges fraudulent accounting practices at Halliburton took place during the period when current vice president Dick Cheney served as its chairman and CEO. Halliburton called the claims in the suit, "untrue, unsupported, and unfounded." The company continued: "We are working diligently with the SEC to resolve its questions regarding the company's accounting procedures. Halliburton has always followed and will continue to follow guidelines established by the SEC and GAAP, General Accepted Accounting Principles."

I think she learned everything she knows right here.

Some people subscribe to the theory that any publicity is good publicity, even when it's negative. There were a couple of thieves in the WH that used to have the same theory. Myself.....
I am not sure! BTW, did you happen to read Mark Steyn's column from yesterday?
"But the media must be allowed their fun. On Wednesday, Judicial Watch launched a suit against Dick Cheney, the Vice President, over past business practices. Judicial Watch, according to the BBC News, is an "anti-corruption group". "Anti-corruption": how noble! A couple of years ago, when Judicial Watch were suing Bill Clinton every other week, the BBC described them only as "a Right-wing lobby group" and the US media, when they mentioned them at all, did so only to dismiss them as a bunch of crazies.

Larry Klayman's heart is in the right place, that much I can tell. Klayman worships at the altars of George Washingtons, Abe Lincolns, and, especially, Ben Franklins.
If it's long, and it's green, Larry's heart flutters.

LOL........CHA-CHING !!!!!!

Yes, if Mark Steyn writes it, it's a keeper. I'm sure that we can look forward to more of Steyn's comments on Larry and his doings. I hope Larry keeps pumping out those self-serving, somewhat misleading press releases. They'll make great ammunition.

How clever.

Well, it just sounded like you were having a problem with unwanted mail. If so, you can easily fix that.

And you would know this, how?
For someone that has never met Larry and claims no connection whatsoever to the "EWW", you certainly have the inside scoop.

I'm trying to decide how to do the accounting for this income. I used to just take it into income when it was paid. But now that it's gotten so high, I'd like to book some of the income as soon as I post. Do you see a problem with this? What do you think Larry would say?
To: FreedominJesusChrist
If so, you can easily fix that.
Really, ... Wouldn't that put the postal service workers out of a job.... but then maybe 'eww' wouldn't care.
To: Clara Lou
Wonder if anyone sent the press release & the graph to Steyn?
