12:57PM Halliburton responds to Judicial Watch lawsuit (HAL) by Michael Baron Halliburton (HAL) is off 30 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $13.82, in midday action. The company is out with a press release responding to a lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch, a Washington, D.C.-based legal watchdog group. The suit alleges fraudulent accounting practices at Halliburton took place during the period when current vice president Dick Cheney served as its chairman and CEO. Halliburton called the claims in the suit, "untrue, unsupported, and unfounded." The company continued: "We are working diligently with the SEC to resolve its questions regarding the company's accounting procedures. Halliburton has always followed and will continue to follow guidelines established by the SEC and GAAP, General Accepted Accounting Principles."

I see that you pinged ChaseR. Do you know why he got banned?
To: Iwo Jima
I didn't ping him, someone else did. I am not exactly sure why he got banned. I still keep in contact with him and he is managing his own website right now.
To: FreedominJesusChrist
Larry gives the word when to put up or take down a poll question.
To: FreedominJesusChrist
FYI, Larry only writes the question, he doesn't actually put the poll up on the website.
How do you know this?
To: FreedominJesusChrist
But doesn't the buck stop with Larry? As the head of JW isn't he responsible for what goes on there?
To: FreedominJesusChrist
Well, good for him. He has a lot of energy, and his heart seems to be in the right place. He needs to find a way to focus those good qualities. His own website might be just what he needs.

I highly doubt that you two smoke. All us "dried up old harpies" smoke. That's why we're "dried up", dontcha know? ;-)
To: terilyn
No, it's just Dick Cheney who is responsible for everything that goes on at his place. Even George Bush doesn't really do or know anything, as everybody knows.
To: FreedominJesusChrist
Were any from your Christain College up that way?
To: terilyn
Larry's faulty poll is hardly a derelection of my duties.
'eWW' had a faulty poll.... whaaaaaaasa matter he couldn't keep it open late beyond poll closing time... or did the voters forget to vote as 'eww' wanted?
To: Iwo Jima; Howlin; FreedominJesusChrist; ChaseR
I pinged him. Becky knows why. I have been trying to get an answer to my question as to why it's ok for FIJC to "gossip" about other posters behind their back, (as long as she disagrees with them), but it's not ok for anybody else.
A couple of months ago, FIJC & ChaseR were having a grand old time trashing Howlin on another, unrelated thread without pinging her and I called her on it.
Apparantly the rules only apply to posters she disagrees with.
If I had to guess as to why ChaseR got banned, (and it would only be a guess - NOTE I AM NOT STATING THIS AS FACT), it could be due to the 87,692 BTTT's that he insisted on posting incessently. Most of which were on the same thread or two.
To: Iwo Jima
She seems to be pretty worked up right now. ;-)
To: Iwo Jima
Well, "you people", meaning us, wrecked Larry's poll by voting.
To: deport
Well, I don't really have anything to contribute, but I just thought I would help get this thread to 2000. :-)
To: Clara Lou
From her buds over at the watch.... she keeps in contact don't you see
To: A Citizen Reporter; Clara Lou
How do I know this? Just a guess, I guess.
To: terilyn
Of course. That being said, I highly doubt there was even a problem with the website. If there was, you should feel free to e-mail the webmaster and inform him of this problem.
To: Iwo Jima
You're right, of course.
Cheney is responsible for everything that is wrong in the world.
To: deport
Just a guess, I am sure.
