12:57PM Halliburton responds to Judicial Watch lawsuit (HAL) by Michael Baron Halliburton (HAL) is off 30 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $13.82, in midday action. The company is out with a press release responding to a lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch, a Washington, D.C.-based legal watchdog group. The suit alleges fraudulent accounting practices at Halliburton took place during the period when current vice president Dick Cheney served as its chairman and CEO. Halliburton called the claims in the suit, "untrue, unsupported, and unfounded." The company continued: "We are working diligently with the SEC to resolve its questions regarding the company's accounting procedures. Halliburton has always followed and will continue to follow guidelines established by the SEC and GAAP, General Accepted Accounting Principles."

That would be an affirmative.
I believe the thread was locked shortly afterward.

I'm confused. Is the point to run off voices of dissent or run off voices that don't dress well.
Help me out here.
To: terilyn
My goodness, did your husband REALLY say that ? LOL

Lots of cold medicine?
Oh, and when they get old enough to understand, and you're really fed up...cry. They stand in shock. Mom's aren't supposed to cry. It gets 'em every time.
I used to get at least two days of great behavior out of that one. Just don't use it too often or they'll catch on.
To: Mo1
YIKES... you do have little ones. Oh well, just roll with the punches; as they say and enjoy the good times. :-)
To: terilyn
Crying works on boy-children and husbands too. As long as you don't use it very often.
To: nopardons
Yes he really did. He remembered how he and his brother used to settle an argument. Having no sisters this was like learning a foreign language.
He did figure it out eventually!
To: terilyn
That does work. So does NOT reacting, angrily, when they fully expect that you will, and you just act sad / hurt.
To: terilyn
He used to get so tired of it and say, "Why don't you just punch each other and get it over with?" FOFL .. that's funny

Is the point to run off voices of dissent or run off voices that don't dress well.I heard the other day that the point was to run off cute young things because we "dried up old harpies" were "jealous". :P~
To: terilyn
Goodness gracious ! LOL
My husband just left it to me, to handle. He still does, when the kiddo gets upset. If ONLY someone would invent an invisable umbilical cord cutter, I'd be ever so pleased; I think.
To: Amelia
Hmmmmmmmmm ... I've gotten THAT response as well. I think that that is what the babies say, when they haven't the ability to think of a rational refutation ; which is most of the time.

Nobody is sure.
It's Larry's poll.
FIJC was mad because FReepers voted. Apparantly the 26 votes that came in between the time that it was posted here and the time Larry locked the poll, some yes and some no, wrecked the poll.
So are we the dissenters or the bad dressers?
Maybe Larry could put up another poll and this time only the DUers could vote.
To further cloud the issue, could anybody tell me this. If a JW thread goes up and people post negative stuff about Larry, wouldn't that make us the dissenters? Or would that just make us the bad dressers?
I am so confused.
To: terilyn
I'll have to remember the crying thing .. Thanks

I think I've got it. We're still here, so obviously the object was not to run off the dissenters. Therefore we must be the bad dressers!

Help me out here Sorry I can't help .. I'm a handicapped Yankee on cold meds that can't vote
