He was surveilled 24/7 and had GPS attached to his SUV and phone trapped. SDPD even ran liscense plate checks on all of his guests. So for all intents and purposes he was. How does the fact that he wasn't read his Miranda Rights til what? the 22nd? fit into this? And those 2 cops even tried to see him in jail without his lawyer! That all takes on a new light for me, as I see this prosecution played out.

He wasn't "officially" under arrest on 2/4 for the 28.5 hour visit with SDPD. Because it was just questioning and checking on some of his story they didn't hafta Mirandize him. And no, they did stop him when he tried to leave and the phone in the interrogation/convers8ing room didn't work.
