In some ways, sadly, yes. From these threads, many of us hold that the Van Dams because of their proclavities and behaviour put their children at unnecessary risk. That risk ended up with a seven year old girl needlessly losing her life.
Add to that the media's constant attempts to manipulate and fuel the masses with bias and then to whip up hysteria and I hope you can appreciate why there is both passion and volitility on some of these threads.
