The guy had everything going for him. Just goes to shot that money and success does not necessarily translate into happiness. (If in fact, this is really a suicide.)

Strange? Not really. But sad, yes.

He was young, smart, and driven. Depression is not uncommon among the exceedingly intelligent. (Meanwhile, I wouldn't be surprised if he saw himself as a failure.)

It's clear, however, that details as to what may have pushed him over the edge have been omitted.

What a moron.

Nothing "tragic" or "romantic". Like Cobain, just a stupid waste of a life.

what did Bush know and when did he know it?

Seriously though, what a sad waste.....I have often wondered why the some guy like this would take his life while some thrice convicted pedophile/rapist continues to stain the air we all share....

Not suicide - Recording industry hit.

OK - so it's wild speculation, but it wouldn't surprise me....

Not to be paranoid or anything, but the record industry has always been run more or less by Mafia types. I am pretty certain that the "official" cause of death will be called a self inflicted gunshot wound. Technically it is correct. By disturbing the recording industry he may have brought this upon himself.

A lifetime, even a short lifetime, buried in code can cause severe alienation. Despite the appeal of tin foil theories, I tend to think that a syndrome not very uncommon in godless geekdom --- i.e., existential-crisis/nerd-misanthropy --- best explains this tragedy.

Well, since Jack Vallenti probably was invovled in the JFK assasination, this would be small-time by comparison
