But so many don't see that. It's not as if you can't have a newspaper, periodical, local cable show, parties, religious, social gatherings in the language of your choice or not a speak it at home.

You're free to do that. Insisting on a lingua franca is NOT racism. As you say, its exactly the opposite. Most Latino parents want English fluency for their kids.
