Yeah, just like Georgia. In 1990, there were very few Mexicans in Georgia. Hey, even in 1995, there were very few Mexicans in Georgia. Now, there are Mexicans all over the place. Furthermore, Spanish signs are popping up. Spanish billboards, etc. In Marietta, up until recently, you'd have daylaborers walking up and down Powder Springs Road looking for work. This created a traffic hazzard, and so the city of Marietta placed signs along the busy five lane road that state that it is against the law to pick people up on the road. Yet, even the non-day laborer illegal population walks along the road wearing footpaths in the grass. Maybe sidewalks are a needed thing, but I'm giving you an example of how bad the problem of illegal immigration has gotten.

There's no way that most of these Mexicans are legal, when we have been flooded in five short years, in GEORGIA? How close is Georgia to the Mexican border? About 1200 miles.

A few years ago (mid-nineties) I saw then Governor Zel Miller on Larry King mention Georgia had a 1% Hispanic population. What is it now- 5% or more? Such rapid growth in that short a period of time can only be through illegal immigration.

Your post really struck a chord with me. We lived in Brunswick, GA when I was a child, for about 4 years before we moved back to Texas. We really missed the food we grew up on. It never occured to us that we couldn't buy our favorite foods in the store, but in Georgia my father had to start making us tortillas and salsa, for example, and we had to get our family to mail us jalepenos from Texas! No one who visited us could pronounce the names of the food we ate, which was fine with us. We were living true diversity, knowing that we came from a specific culture and were currently living in a very different one. We liked it just fine.

I was very sad to read your post. Times have changed, and not for the better. I weep for this country.

That sounds like Houston as well. This invasion has spread all the way from California to Georgia. How much longer will it take until it reaches Washington D.C.?
