I have definitely seen some weird stuff when people are wasted. This sounds like something more than booze though. This sounds like this was a serious Hallucinogen.

I had some wild friends in college.

Let's just say that many of them, once passed out, would rarely make it to the toilet (needless today, I didn't spend much time on the couch we had). *IF* they happened to wake up when they had to go, often their closet was mistaken for the john.
