She went back to examine in July as she remembered the orange fibers from before....(she didn't recall this last time she testified??)

I think this in itself is the main reason defense insisted on early trial date.Everybody has a right to a speedy trial, unless they waive that right. That way a person who is incarcerated without bond won't have to be in jail for years before they are found not guilty (If that should happen to be the ruling)
It does make it harder to get an airtight case together for either side though.

Do you think they even tried to ID the source for say - the blue fibers? It probably behooves the prosecution to not produce the source of the fibers - if it's innocent seeming - which it probably would be if it's something DW still had in his posession. Better to make the jury think that whatever the source is for the fibers - it's not been found - like it's been disposed of or hidden or something.

What could be the possible source of the blue fibers found on Danielle, at least as the prosecution claims? See some of my previous posts. What do a BLUE VAN and a GREY MOTORHOME have in common? SAME type of CARPET on the floors, and probably SIMILAR COLORS.
To: Rheo
compared w/necklace, SUV and MB pillowcase...visual, microscopic, infra red...from blue towel....similar in all three

I don't disagree with you at all. In fact, I strongly agree with you.
I was just simply saying that I believe it might have something to do with their presentation. I don't, however, believe that it the sole reason, nor do I believe it is an acceptable reason.

Exactly so. Memo to Pfingst:
Next time:
1. Get evidence.
2. Then arrest.

It does make it harder to get an airtight case together for either side though. Exactly what I was trying to get across. And given the way the prosecution is presenting their case...a good move on the defense side.

orange fibers were decompossed, damaged from previous items...the SUV fibers had similar characteristics.

In a house the size of Westerfield's and VanDams, are they still putting the washer and dryer in the garage? NO, He had them installed in the middle of his living room.
Just kidding. I believe I saw pictures of them and they were either in the garage or an adjacent laundry room. Either way, someone that could get into the garage had access to them. There are pictures of DW's laundry room somewhere on the DW threads.
FresnoDA would know where. Why don't you ask him?

Visual and microscopic comparision done...chemical analysis..side by side comparision of known blue fibers....taken from body sheet at recovery *
The defense presented this witness????

"Early trial date" was actaully the standard schedule under CA law.If I am not mistaken in most states a person is intitled to a speedy trial,(like in 90 days?) unless they waive their right to one. This keeps them from sitting in jail for years before it goes to trail if they are held without bond.
