Do any of you remember when the gold ‘ol American boy Sen. John McPain got caught with his hand in the cookie jar?

I’m looking for the photo of McCain and Charles Keating in the Bahamas.

If you know where I can find it please let me know.

Thanks!

McCain's friendship with Keating died sometime prior to the scandal hitting the fan, because unlike Cranston for example, he refused to be the guy's totally amoral errand boy for cash. That is one reason why McCain received only superficial wounds from the affair. Isn't there enough to bash McCain over without stooping into something not all that far from the sewer?

But his behavior with Keating has been repeated by him over and over again - plausable deniability while associating with sleazebags and and accepting handouts.

The guy is a slimy little weasel

There is a post with a picture here on FR, but I cannot see the picture, it just shows up as a big red X in a square on my screen. Maybe someone with more technical know-how than I can fix it for you. There are alot of McCain links (post #18) there as well, maybe one of them has the picture. Good luck.

Well, unfortunately, the link for that photo is no longer available, it seems. It was a link to the paper someone in post #10 said was no longer publishing, the Phoenix Gazette.

This was the link, which would have gone to that publication: http://www.azcentral.com/news/election/elect2000/mccain/gifs/mc16.jpg, but you get the red X because it's a dead link.

I did some searching yesterday for this photo but can't locate it on google. Maybe someone on FR still has it on their computer.

I think one theme came front and center in John McCain's young political career. He thought we owed it to him for what he had suffered. We owed him everything he wanted. Thank you for your service to our country, John McCain. I'm sorry you went though hell. (My husband was there for two tours as a combat infantryman (Follow Me) and was exposed to the possibilities of being taken captive.)
Other than our thanks, respect, and admiration, Senator, we never owed you a thing.

McCain is about as Republican as Kevin Phillips is.
