CAIRO, July 7 (IslamOnline & News Agencies) - The editor of a state-owned Egyptian daily denounced Sunday U.S. Mideast policies, particularly the calls for the ouster of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, as the work of "amateurs."
"The administration for countries' affairs should be the responsibility of professional, specialized politicians and not the responsibility of amateurs," wrote Galal Dawidar, editor-in-chief of Al-Akhbar.
Otherwise, Duweidar wrote, "We find that amateurs take things in hand as [happened to] the policies of the United States under the leadership of current President [George W.] Bush."
He called the U.S. policies in the Middle East unbalanced, adding that such policies are not serving the U.S. interests in the area.
Duweidar criticized the "hawks of the Bush administration" for forcing U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell to turn against Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, "the one man able to bring the peace process to a successful conclusion."
The "hawks", whom Duweidar named as U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, national security advisor Condoleezza Rice, and Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz, had pushed for positions "against all the advice of the professionals of the State Department."
He blamed the "hawks" for the "philosophy of the Bush speech on June 24, described by some U.S. writers as though it crystallized the thoughts of [Israel Prime Minister Ariel] Sharon."
Bush, in his speech, called on Palestinians to dump Arafat as a condition for the United States to support a future Palestinian state.
1) America treats it's declared ememys like crap.
2) This will never change.
3) Enemys whine about that.
4) This will never change.
This is a equal and just foreign policy because it is exactly the same policy held by every other nation on this blue marbl we call earth.
ROFL ! . . Look, it's like this:
If he controls homicide bombing, why deal with him.
If he doesn't controls homicide bombing, why deal with him.
"against all the advice of the professionals of the State Department."
He means "against all the advice of all the Clinton holdovers who agree with our agenda of slowly undermining America's position in the world..."
I've said it once and I'll say it again: We are never going to win this war as long as these disloyal pukes leftover from the previous administration are allowed to remain. They must be completely purged from Washington. Things like this "diversity lottery" and other similar acts of stupidity are just going to get more Americans killed.
We'll be the judge of that, thank you very much.
As opposed to the "professionals" who have been handling it until GWB came on the scene? I think I might puke.
Note to the Egyptian gov't: Better hope we don't send in the pros, boys, or your hand might be pried from Uncle Sam's pocket.
