When, in 333 B.C., Alexander the Great led his army into the town of Gordium in Phrygia (about 100 miles west of Ankara in present-day Turkey), he encountered in front of the temple of Zeus there an oxcart tied to a pole with an intricate knot. Legend had it that whoever could untie the knot would rule all of Asia. Many before Alexander tried. All failed. Alexander solved the problem by cutting the cord with his sword.

The problem is not the FBI or the CIA. The roblem is a decaying and increasingly irrational nation of which the CIA and FBI are only a reflection of the greater problem.

A recent (and extremely entertaining as well as informative) book which covers a lot of this subject is See No Evil: The True Story of a Ground Soldier in the CIA's War on Terrorism by Robert Baer.

Baer lays most of the blame for the collapse of the CIA on the Clinton Cabal and the usual Political Correctness. He also gives a lot of inside information on the Clinton overseas shady money dealings that took place while Al Queda roamed free. It is an eye-popper but not a very encouraging book for the success of this war.

We already have a new spy agency. It's called Sen. Clinton's Office Staff.
