UN Police Arrest Eight Kosovo Murder Suspects

PRISTINA, Yugoslavia -- United Nations police in Kosovo on Saturday arrested eight ethnic Albanian men accused of murdering an ethnic Albanian family they suspected of collaborating with Serbian authorities.

A UN mission statement said the suspects included three members of the Kosovo protection corps, the civilian force created with international blessing from disbanded units of the ethnic Albanian Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).

They and five others are suspected of murdering the Hoxha family -- father, wife and son -- and two others in what the statement described as a brutal attack in the central town of Glogovac 11 months ago, Reuters reported.

The statement made no mention of the motive for the killings. Serb repression sparked the KLA insurgency and ended in NATO bombing and military occupation of Kosovo in 1999.

good find, since GWB was elected virtually all of the leaders of the KLA have been arrested for crimes against the fellow Albanians.

no need to remind everyone that it was Clinton who funded, trained, supplied, and promoted the KLA.

Vooch, did it ever occur to you that the KLA were once useful and now they are not? Gives the powers to be a level of respectability finally dealing with the KLA criminals.

The answer to the first sentence is clearly "no."

The Teheran Times? Looks like they're only ones reporting
this right now. None of the Empire's propaganda services look interested.

Such cases are most interesting because of the fact the victims are Albanians. We know that when the victims are Serbs, Albanian perpetrators are rarely arrested, and in any case, are immediately released - or mysteriously "flee" from Camp Landsteal or some other "high security" facility.

Maybe they'll have more success to hanging on to them than those bus bombers who escaped from the impregnable Fort BS... Hmmm, I wonder what the reaction would be if the UNMIK started to arrest Albanians for killing Serbs... As if that very likely.

Tell me Vooch can you not admit that its within the realms of possibilities that the UCK are seen for what they truly are and just maybe NATO/UN are cleaning out those with dirty hands? I see the UCK as a liability and believe that NATO and the UN do as well. Their is a whole new shift and its focused on the UCK. Its got nothing to do with being a serious cynic but a realist. When you have something that stinks well you deal with it and that my friend is what’s going on in Kosovo. So what is there to be cyclical about? Maybe NATO/UN are being objective in dealing with these KLA war crimes suspects. What does it mean Vooch? Is this another conspiracy of some kind to go after the Serbs again?

Well, I guess it has to you manipulators. What happened in the Balkans is a 'stain' on America in it's ill advised forray in a 'suicidal' stategy of 'bedding' with 'decapitating terrorists'.

What a 'blotch' on a America, and you 'crow' about your involvment? Unbelievable!

IMO, the likes of Albright, Cohen, Berger should be sitting in the federal pen. Gen Clark should be court martialed for the fool he made out of America. A real General would have resigned rather than carry out the insane murder and maiming of 'civilians'.

First of all you American's assume to much. What ever "blotch on a America their is" is neither here nor there for me because I'm not American. What is unbelievable is that you automatically think that everyone on the FR is and who is outside the 200 mile limit does not matter.

In regards to my involvement in Kosovo and in the Balkans in general I am very proud of the work that I was involved with and as a matter of fact worked with some very competent Americans that I assume you are not very proud of. These people were my associates and friends working on the KLA in 1999. Their were a lot of little battles that we won against the KLA at the beginning that you would never have heard about. Never the less the group that I worked with were very proud of our accomplishments in the name of stabilizing Kosovo and If I crow about it I have earned the right as do the Americans that I had worked with, get it old boy. If you feel ashamed that NATO/US intervention into kosovo was an embarrassment well that’s your business. If their was no intervention it would have been a blood bath between the Serbs and the Albanians resulting in a civil war that would have surpassed Bosnia. Grow up and you remain an amateur.

Thanks for clearing that up, it was depressing to assume you were an 'American'. Tell me, did it pay well?

Incidentally, IMO, an 'amature' is one who doesn't get paid for what he does well. I think you can figure out a converse for your involvment.

In answer to your oft stated , would have been a blood bath between the Serbs and the Albanians, its'an erroneous conclusion, espescially if the right conclusion is the Serbs would have cleaned out the 'terrorists' and secured the borders, the result reflecting the 'democracy' enjoyed by all nationalities in Serbia proper. Ditto for Chechyna.

I like Americans but you are obviously a poor uneducated example of one. Someone has to be on the sad end to the bell curve so it might as well be you.
