You are misreading both what I wrote and what the author wrote. We are both saying that Islam as a whole did not condemn 9-11; not that no Islamic groups condemned it. The occassional imam speaking at a mosque here or there does not constitute a wholesale condemnation of 9-11 by the Islamic world.

Islam as a whole cannot condemn anything, as there is no leadership since we Turks abolished it in the 1920s.
