The FBI's primary job these days seems to be to convince the sheeple that obvious terrorist attacks are not in fact terrorist attacks. I can't remember the last time they actually caught a criminal.

That is a silly assumption to make. There is MUCH more incentive for the Feds to label this a terrorist act linked to international groups than the other way around. The Feds are under constant criticism for their "vague" warnings and this is the prime example, should they choose" to say "we told you so".

McLaughlin suggested that authorities would rather treat the incident as one of hate crimes that have been on rise after the September 11 terrorist attacks last year and the continued violence between the Israelis and the Palestinians in the Middle East.

From another retired Engineer, you have been delivering the best explanation I have yet read as to why the FBI has not yet labeled this killer a Terrorist!

Anyway you can give a highly condensed summary of what you understand from the Patriot Act and other sources?
