I also believe that the school system makes money from soda and junk food sales. I know that my old high school did some years ago...and I can tell you that the profit margin turned from a soda machine is considerable.

I don't believe that anyone is forbidding junk food on campus. They are just saying that the school system shouldn't sell it. They're not going to be searching lunch bags, are they?

Did I read that right?

You did read that right. It would definitely be a different issue if they were banning soda altogether in the school. They are not. They are just not selling it.

I believe in parental control of kids. Unfortunately, I do not know of too many kids that would pick milk over soda if offered to them when their parents are not around.
