Difference: The kid killed only himself. When you kill others while telling people to read the Koran you are a terrorist. However, in my opinion the kid was also a terrorist. He praised Usama bin Laden and flew into the Bank of America building

In that case, do you call the two guys that dragged that black man to death in Jasper Texas terrorists? And what about Klebold and Harris at Columbine? I consider them criminals, not terrorists.

To me, this LAX case seems more more similiar to Columbine than it does to Palestinian or Al-Qaeda type terrorism. The intent seems more a desire to lash out against against someone rather than to induce fear. Additionally, in both cases it seems like the intent was more assisted suicide than terrorism. If that arab wanted to reduce his chance of success any more he could started shooting at a police station.

The Israeli Shin Bet is calling it an act of terrorism

Why is it so hard to understand that, just because a lone towel-head isn't a card-carrying Al Qaeda member, he can still be a terrorist. Militant Islam considers every practitioner a soldier in its army. Whether this guy was working with others or not, he was an Islamic terrorist. Israel gets it. Why don't our lame spokespeople?

I was just wondering if he sent his family back to Egypt to get them out of the way after collecting those Glocks and extra mags.

"To me, this LAX case seems more more similiar to Columbine than it does to Palestinian or Al-Qaeda type terrorism"

El Al ticket desks have been a favorite target of terrorists for decades. This attack is more similar to other attacks at el Al desks then it it is to Columbine. In fact, except for the fact that a gun was used, an Egyptian with TWO driver's licenses and TWO birthdates shooting up people at an airport is in no way similar to two screwed up, brain dead dorks murdering their teachers and classmates.

When did he put up the "Read the Koran" sign on his door? Could it have been when he got his orders? Do other people display signs like this?

I think the Pipes article of 9/14/01 is full of shit. The "kinder, gentler" approach with these people aint gonna hack it. Islam is not a religion. It IS a demonic cult founded by a diabolical, murdering pedophile. It has no place within the US and should be treated as a criminal threat to the non muslim population.

It is not just the official "spokes" people.

I don't watch the tv news on these events because the liberal PC BS spins. The FR replies posted on these threads yesterday and today show that PC ism is rampant on CNNNBCABCCBS.

Apparently, the so called military expert on Fox News went on the White Supremist route yesterday. Anyone who does that after an event like this one had just revealed to all of America that even if he works for Fox, he is a PC mush headed liberal POS! When any person starts the old White Supremist hate card game, they become a non entity to me.

When things like this happen and unfold, I come to Free Republic and wade through the posts. We have a lot garbage posters and agenda posters. However, when you see their mantra/agenda replies, you just forget them and go to the real news. The link to the Israelis calling it terrorism was posted shortly after this bastard stopped twitching on the floors of LAX. All American news ignored that data or didn't know about it. Then, later they were making fun of that claim before the reality of this killer came out that he was an Egyptian.

I discussed what the Israelis had said with a few conservatives yesterday at a 4th of July party after we left to go to the party at about 2 pm pst. One of my friends, chided me that I spend too much time on the internet when I told him what I knew.

I sent him and two others email copies of what I knew before I went to bed last night. He called this morning to apologize and to thank me for getting the real news from him. The other two emailed to say thanks and to apologize for not really listening yesterday. They are really disturbed with Fox News, Cavuto and this petty POS so called military advisor.

When events happen and start to unfold come to Free Republic. Throw out the Bravo Sierra from the garbage posters and the mantra posters. Most of the time the real story will unfold right here.

The Israelis have been doing real intel for decades for survival.

The PC Bravo Sierra is not part of their lexicon. This is why the NY Slimes and the rest of the left wing maggots who own most of the media in this country hate the Israel intel people. The Israel intel people call it as it is.

Our intel people have a lot of catching up to do re getting their act together. As long as our media is left wing driven, our side will play the PC game. It is a hell of a mess.

The problem with your, and other anti-Muslim, posts, is that it presumes something you would NEVER presume with Christians, which is that these people all BELIEVE this stuff.

My posts may seem anti-muslim, but they're not. They are anti-Islam. There is a difference.

ARAB n. 1. A member of a Semitic people inhabiting Arabia.....
(The American Heritage Dictionary)

Just being technical, and adding a touch of humor, which obviously was ineffective.

I knew what he meant, and how the term is now used.

I understand, but my point still stands: people who "believe" in Islam often (as often as with Christianity, I bet) don't even know what they believe aside from a few basic "teachings" in the Koran, and certainly don't know what their holy books stay.

You cannot trust these people, just b/c they live here double digit years means nothing.

According to Paul Fregosi in "Jihad", the Moslems that were converted to Christianity in Barcelona in 1492 merely faked the conversion, stashed arms for the Turkish and Algerian Moslems they knew were coming and then revolted on Christmas Eve, 1568.

76 years is approaching triple digits.
