LAX shooter an "Arab-Looking" guy...Eyewitness

Posted on 07/04/2002 2:17:49 PM PDT by Burr5

Fox just interviewed a French kid who witnessed the LAX shootings. AMAZINGLY, the reporter farted around for 10 minutes and never asked "What did the guy LOOK LIKE?" Thankfully, the anchor back at the studio prodded him into it, and the kid replied that the shooter was "Afghan-looking" "Arab-looking"...Sorry I'm paraphrasing. But I'll call it official: It's Terrorism.

Yep, the propoganda and cover up machine is in full swing. TWA, Oklahoma City, who knows how many others.

Local CBS is now reporting "One suspect dead; one suspect in custody."

There's more to this than just a disgruntled employee.

I was praying that Dubya wasn't going to continue this way. Apparently he's fallen victim to the entrenched politicos who seem to think that the public can't "handle the truth." Guess our "elite" considers us too stupid to hear the facts.

I'm not sure enough people in even the FBI bureauacracy (sp!) would be alert enough to be this clever. . . but

it COULD be that someone has decided it would give the terrorists a bad hair day to minimize their publicity gold mine from incidents. Still, I think it's clumsy and ill advised given all the givens.

Tell the world he's likely a terrorist and shut up on details if that's the goal--of shutting down amplified media attention.

Yeah, I agree completely. And, imo.. John Walker is different because, although also a citizen he was caught overseas, in a war zone with a rag on his head and a gun in his hand.. AND wounded no less.

So the way I see it he took a dump on his own citizenship.

I didn't say that, or at least that's not how I meant it.

What I meant is that I don't draw distinctions between illegals. Arab, Asian, Mexican.. I don't care. If they are illegal then they should be deported imo, regardless of anything. I don't care why they are illegal, I don't care how they got here.. I don't care if they were overlooked in the past, I don't care about their families. Illegal is illegal.

Now, if they came here legally and followed the rules, or they are already citizens then I support them completely.

I would like them to have all the benefits of becoming a part of our society and I would never, ever suggest (like someone did previously) that their right's be violated simply because they are Arab or Muslim.

Ever..

Seems to me a perfect set-up for terrorists is to set off the metal detector at an airport, or shoot up the place like this guy did. The security officials ARE EXTREMELY PREDICTABLE and will then EVACUATE THE TERMINAL.

You then have several thousand people standing around en mass and there is general chaos. This is the perfect time for the second group of terrorist to set off their pre-positioned truck bomb, sarin gas, anthrax, automatic weapon attack, or whatever else they might have.

Hope our LE officials are thinking of this next time some one sets off the metal detector and then runs out of the building.

I don't yet see where we disagree.

Our positions seem to be identical.

Here's an interesting tidbit that FOX just scrolled without fanfare across the bottom of the screen: ALL THREE VICTIMS WERE ISRAELIS. Hmmmmmmm.... No link to terrorism here...

Today we could never level Germany as we did in 1945 (thousands of innocent dead), nor could we drop a bomb on Hiroshima (thousands of innocent dead)

You raise a major issue AAA ... what good is a weapon you choose to never use? Our employment of the two atomic bombs in 1945 has been so villified and corrupted by the socialist educrats that those events are considered war crimes today by a large portion of our ill-informed citizenry. Under what circumstances would we ever use our nuclear arsenal? If some Muslim virgin-banger releases Sarin gas in Chicago? If Hussein sneaks nerve gas in with his scuds? Why does a nuclear device carry an emotional or moral baggage that an AC-130's 20 mm cannon or howitzer does not? Cutting a guy into quarters with your gattling gun is ok, but dropping a nuke on an Iranian forward army position is not? That is something that Bush needs to state upfront ... that our nukes are in play, they are fair weapons of war, and that we have every moral right to use them in the defense of our soldiers and national security. Otherwise, we have about $500 billion or so worth of investment in R&D, submarines, bombers, missiles, warheads and delivery infrastructure that we can flush down the ole shithole.

Actually Bush did state that nukes were "in play", right after 9/11. A policy statment was released that stated that the US reserved the right to first strike (with nukes) countries that posed a terrorist threat with weapons of mass destruction.

Only two reasons are immediately obvious to me.

1) Nukes hurt "mother earth" (Now, while I could care less about that a soft, warm, liberal type would undoubted call it a negative.)

2) AC-130's and cannon haven't been demonized for decades in the press. They are smaller and less destructive (which means inferior in my book) and to a warm, fuzzy liberal type that might be viewed as a positive.

That was so by the third day, but the burning and killing for more than one day after the riots started were by what seems to be Ms. Watson's "constituency". Many of the secondary looters were in the stores that their predecessors had broken into. The upstanding rioters of South Central were staging bloody attacks on Caucasians, Latinos, and Asians. Forgive me, but murder and mayhem are much more serious crimes than theft. To be sure it should be punished. if there was a policy to shoot looters, the riots would have ended fast.

There is no doubt in my mind, regardless of the provocation, if the United States ever employed a nuclear weapon it would be hysterically condemned as a crime against humanity more evil than Hitler's "Final Solution", Stalin's reign of genocide, Mao's murderous purge, Pol Pot's mass exterminations, etc. etc. Between Hitler, Mao and Stalin - they killed around 30 million of their own citizens. Huessein has used gas against Iranians and Iraqi Kurds. But I'll guarantee you, if the U.S. drops a tactical nuke that eliminates a threat of 600 of the Iraqi Revolutionary Guard - that will be an inhumanity beyond mortal agony to the Socialist elite in Europe and here. The cross dressers in The Hague will be soiling their Depends wit' a quickness. It's going to take guts for any Commander in Chief to authorize the weapon tool, and for any General to give the green light. Well, if it's between dropping nukes as part of the arsenal or losing a lot of American kids in a dirty scrum ... there's no question in my mind.

Good point. I just am happy that the El Al guard has a gun...too bad the LA Mayor didn't figure that out.

Also, what a great time to get rid of Norm Mineta. Maybe we could get Toby Keith as Secretary of Transportation.

The the really funny part is, after they change their drawers.. What are they gonna do about it?
