It's not pathetic that they took this action. It's pathetic that it took this long to make it illegal to urinate in public.

I doubt it will do any good. SF has become a complete pit. I grew up in the Bay Area and the decay of the city is evident everywhere. Having Willie Brown as Mayor certainly is not helping. There are bums everywhere and so much garbage it's disgusting. Even in the nicer districts, garbage is visible. Fortunately, SF has reasonably cool weather most of the year - otherwise, it would be really gross.
