I've got another question....why did the prosecution not request that the two dark hairs (assuming DW's as not stated) be run thru the offender database?Earlier today during the cross by Dusek of one of the witnesses (I forget which one) he asked if DW ever had a dog. When the witness said yes Dusek asked what the color, type and length of its hair was. The answer was short, black, and wavy. I thought to myself at the time that he was going to try to connect the dog's hair to the hairs found in DVD's fist and underarm.

The hair in her fist was identified as her own hair.

The hair in her fist was her own, wasn't it?....I would hope the prelimanary testing would have indicated human or animal....but then again??
Wonder if Dusek was just trying to rule out questions jurors had about the possibility of it being his dog hairs instead of Layla's?
