The sad thing about this is that there will be some goofballs who will actually vote for the dog.
Yes, artitcle I section 2 states that in order to be a candidate for Congress, it is necessary to pe a "person," at least twenty-five years old, a citizen of the US for at least seven years, and an inhabitant of the state in which he or she is running for Congress. There is no requirement to actually live inside the boundaries of the particular district one is running to represent. The scofflaws on the SCOFLA (Supreme Court of Florida) can't change that, because it is in the United States Constitition, not the Florida Constitution.
No Person shall be a Representative who shall not have attained to the Age of twenty five Years, and been seven Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State in which he shall be chosen.
Oh, yes, but is that people years or dog years?
I knew that someone was going to ask that question. If it were up to the SCOFLA, it would be dog years, but the SCOTUS (Supreme Court of the United States) would probably vote at least 5-4 or 6-3 that it has to be calendar years.
