THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) -- A senior European diplomat, testifying Tuesday at the war crimes trial of Slobodan Milosevic, accused the former Yugoslav president of backing out of an agreement that could have averted war in Kosovo.

The trial resumed after a two-week break to allow Milosevic to recover from the flu and high fever, the second lengthy interruption because of the defendant's illness since hearings began in February.

For balance sake, some more on Milosevics cross examination (Source Free Serbia): Milosevic said that after accepting the political segment of the agreement, the Serbian delegation was expected to “approve of an occupation of Kosovo” and Yugoslavia, regulated by the military supplement. According to him, this document stated that NATO forces would have the unlimited right of free movement on Yugoslav territory, and that its military commander would be “the chief arbiter” and ‘decide on everything”. Petrich dismissed the occupation claims, adding that the military supplement was taken from the Dayton agreement, which was signed by Milosevic, and which foresaw free movement of NATO troupes in Yugoslavia and Croatia.

Asked by Milosevic, why the military supplement was given to the Yugoslav delegation on the last day of the Rambouillet talks, Petrich said a political agreement had to be reached first, before creating a technical agreement on its implementation, which foresaw international military presence. The witness also dismissed Milosevic’s claims that, in Rambouillet, the Serbian delegation was “offered an ultimatum for unconditional surrender, and not an agreement”. “Rambouillet was an attempt to reach a peaceful solution… Speaking of an ultimatum is completely wrong”, Petrich said, adding that the proof of this is that Russia took part in the process, all along.

However, he said, Russian representative Boris Majorski did not want to accept the military supplement until Belgrade shows it would do so. Reminding that, according to the agreement, the temporary solution for Kosovo would be tested after three years in a referendum, Milosevic said the plan was: “occupation first, than giving the right of self-determination to the Albanian national minority, and finally the loss of Kosovo”. Petrich said the agreement foresaw quite the opposite – that Serbs and Albanians would have to agree on any changes of the province’s status, which would otherwise be impossible. Milosevic also read the official letter of denial from Vladimir Stambuk, on his alleged statement on a massacre of Albanians. Stambuk claims he had told Petrich “if NATO begins the bombing, there would also be Albanian victims in Kosovo”. However, Petrich repeated his initial claims. The Milosevic trial resumes tomorrow with the testimony of the next prosecution witness.

Have they done any investigating to see where the KLAs funding and training was coming from, I don't think they want to go there.

B.S. That was supposed to be the case in Bosnia-Hecegovina! But as we all saw, only the wishes of certain peoples matter!

From: House of Commons Foreign Affairs - Fourth Report [UK Confesses War Kosovo Violated Laws]

The Military Annex to the Rambouillet Accords

NATO is guilty of a serious oversight in failing to estimate the political significance of what might have appeared to be a military technicality. SOFAs are highly sensitive, directly impinging as they do on states' sovereignty, with regard, for example to the jurisdiction of national courts over foreign soldiers.

Albright, Berger, and Clinton were just dying for a war, and conducted such duplicitous "diplomacy" (such as the Rambouillet ultimatum) that war was inevitable.

Milosevic is no saint, but Clinton is no better.

Top European diplomat accuses Milosevic of sabotaging peace chances before Kosovo war"

Alternate titles:

1) Milosevic forced NATO to bomb Yugoslavia into the 13th Century

2) If she didn't want me to f*** her, why did she wear such sexy clothes

3) The Serbs were asking for it

4) We didn't have any choice but to bomb the living daylights out of Serbia when they wouldn't agree to the indepenence of 1/4 of their territory and the military occupation of the remainder

5) Sign or be Bombed [Which was, in fact, the ultimatum given at Ramboulette]

The first part of the trial was focusing on the Serb crackdown against Albanian rebels in Kosovo.

Why no mention of the FACT that it took NATO weeks to get the KLA to sign the agreement?  Even then is was apparent a back room deal had been made between NATO and the KLA.  Nope, the additional clauses where purposely put there by Albright fully knowing that Slobo would never sign it thus setting up the pretext for the bombing with Racak as the ignition!

Let's get ugly!

One analyst (I forgot the name, from CATO I believe) quoted Albright saying to the effect of the words "Serbs deserve some bombing and bombing they will get"

I would be grateful if someone can post document containing this snippet.

Just finnished listening to the video transcript. A catchy one liner in the 2nd video transcript at 01:12:08.0 is Wolfgangs' remark that the Agreement is the basis of the FINAL SOLUTION!!

Whow, that slip of the tongue says it all. This EU diplomat sounds like an earlier Austrian 'diplomate' , who also had a military component, for the countries he over ran back in WW2.

Another 'witness' bites the dust!!

You are right, Incorrigible--the NWO "negotiation" team added an infamous clause that would have required what amounted to the occupation of ALL of Yugoslavia! NO sovereign nation would accept such a clause!!!! And you got VERY ugly by posting the picture of the ugly little gnome Halfbright. She is the very worst Secretary of State that US ever had, but she gets to dine out on the think tank circuit as if she were someone great.

As for the "top European diplomat" Wolfgang Petritsch, he is (or was as of earlier this year, anyway) the "High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina"--i.e., the New World Order empire's procurator for the fakey state of "Bosnia". In other words, he's a prime Serbophobe and a muslim collaborator, as well as a NWO operative. How can ANYONE expect such a person to tell the truth?

Speaking of an ultimatum is completely wrong”, Petrich said,

another lie, Petrich directly countradicts the leadingt HumWarrior actors here......Albright and Mr. Amanpour both described it numerous times as a ultimatum.

In his self-serving book Mr. Amanpour details the methods used to force the Yugoslav Government to reject the diktat. He delights in showing how Albright and he successfully engineered a casus belli for Clinton's war of agression......at Nuremberg and Tokyo Polictial figures like Albright and Rubin were found guilty and hung for their crimes against Peace.

Petrich seems to have been nothing more than a errand boy for Albright/Rubin in Paris.......the least he could do is get his story straight.

Too much meaningless drivel from Bosnia Gestapo-fuhrer Petritsch. He's paid something like $200,000 a year to do nothing more than sit in an air-conditioned office in Sarajevo and act like some sort of NWO Habsburg viceroy.

Issuing anti-Serb propaganda statements is nothing new for Petritsch. This is all a part of his "job", making him a darling of the Sarajevo Muslim media.

Now we are to believe that this self-styled Balkans expert also has personal knowledge of what happened during the time of the Rambouillet Ultimatum.

Petritsch is no diplomat. Perhaps the hack-writer of this piece has him confused with Jose Cutileiro, the Secretary-General of the nascent European Union, who actually wrote to the London Economist to point out that Bosnian Muslims, led by Petritisch's pal, Alija Izetbegovic, walked out of key peace negotiations in 1992, after receiving encouragement from the United States. This was the fateful move which guaranteed war between Bosnian Muslims and their chief rivals, the Serb and Croatian communities.

BTW, Clinton haters may like to know that the ambassador at the time was George Sr's pal, Warren Zimmermann. The plans to destroy Yugoslavia, and vilify the Serb nation, were drawn up long before Clinton even announced his intention to campaign.
