Worried that your still-unsold screenplay might be a little too dumb for Hollywood? Still no buyers? More rewriting, back to the editor, change this, change that. Collecting dust when the only rewrites involve the introduction of novel diatribes and invective. Martin Sheen isn't the real president, but he is the Left's president, President Bartlett of "West Wing," out campaigning in the red pickup truck with former Clinton administration Attorney General Janet Reno.
On the hustings, Democrat gubernatorial candidate Reno and Sheen engaged in a deliciously auto-erotic lip lock, part of the script. One take thank goodness. Not many people in Florida bought it though.
Sheen called President Bush "a moron" not long ago, though he himself, when asked in 1996 to run with the Green Party's Ralph Nader said, "I don't have the kind of intelligence or the makeup to be a president." Fooled me. Sheen really isn't Sheen. He's Estevez, Ramon Estevez. To get acting jobs in New York 40 years ago, he changed his name to Martin. The last name Sheen came from the evangelist Fulton Sheen. So he reinvented himself and changed his name. No big deal, many people do it. I think he's a good actor. But that's all he is, an actor. His politics though are psychotic, which makes him a good Democrat.
Ever wonder why Hollywood and the Democrat Party seem to be one and the same? Sex, narcissism, eternal adolescence, and partying. But you knew that already. Joe Kennedy and his film company, son Jack, and starlets. Why waste time listing the entire cast. Ex-president Clinton was, last we heard, playing sax with the Blues Brothers. They dropped the handcuff prop though, not "in good taste." Come on, let him wear the cuffs, it's just an act.
When was the last time a liberal held court on a national scale without making a fool of themselves? Incapable of being honest about the title "liberal," they've reverted to code: "centrist," "moderate" (though this is tricky as some radical Islamists have used it), and "progressive." Never "communist," though by definition that's what the Left and the Democrats are. The liberal media that runs their cover behaves strikingly similar to the definition: "a totalitarian system of government in which a single party owns the means of production (in this case information), with the express aim of establishing a stateless society."
The Left and the Democrats have argued against the need to defend our borders, advocate sympathy for criminal terrorists living among us, have trashed conservative judicial appointees, are still in love with an impeached and disbarred ex-president, and now blame President Bush for everything from causing the stock market crash, 9/11, the rampant CEO crime wave, global warming, talk radio, school vouchers, answering to a higher power, and spots on zebras. My question is: what do they represent, outside of abortion and raising the legal smoking age to 21?
The script isn't selling because it's devoid of content. Yet it hangs around because of a literal media monopoly. The monopoly celebrates victims, racial anger, and atheism, while glorifying the most perverse. It's more important to scuttlebutt R. Kelly, Fear Factor, Eminem, Rosie, and Chris Rock, than it is to inform people about how and why they are being squeezed lifeless by taxes, why their kids have to witness teachers "coming out," and what to do about the continuing degradation of American culture.
The contempt the Left has for average Americans is palpable. Manifested by wave after wave of Democrats screeching their condescending declarations at conservatives and the Republican Party, it's readily apparent that the name calling has become more inventive, but the script is as stale as a year old bagel. From dogmatized college students taught to hate America, to Democrats who actually think President Bush planned and caused 9/11, one wonders if the party on the left desires nothing less than the destruction of the U.S.
As much as Hollywood thirsts for a script that endorses the objectives of those who wish to destroy the country, even they know it wouldn't sell. As Ann Coulter said recently when discussing her new book Slander: Liberal Lies About the American Right, "American liberals are utterly bankrupt intellectually and spiritually, recoiling from the truth." The Democrats run on rhetoric, period. They create a baseless "hate crimes" bill, and argue that anyone opposing the bill favors hate. They attack the Catholic Church when 1-2 percent of priests molest boys, then argue that homosexuals should supervise Boy Scouts. They attack the Pledge of Allegiance, tear down the 10 Commandments, and question President Bush's IQ.
So, if posing for the camera and reading scripts qualifies one to pontificate on what's wrong with America, who's to say President Bartlett doesn't have the bully pulpit. Johnny Depp lives in Paris because of his fear of the religious right. Ditto John Malkovich. Tom Cruise just said he doesn't want his children raised here. Alec Baldwin and Cher were going to leave. Robert Altman has.
Meanwhile courageous American men and women risk their lives so that the liberals, the Left, and the Democrats can denigrate this great nation, the same nation that made many of them millionaires.
When asked what he thought of the U.S., Sheen said, "Alcoholics Anonymous and jazz are the only original things of importance it has exported to the rest of the world." And later he said, "George W Bush is like a bad comic working the crowd, a moron, if you'll pardon the expression." Yes we'll pardon you Marty since you can't help yourself. You and your compatriots are just being good mindless Democrats, and the script still has no buyers.
