Saga of Dr. Zawahri Sheds Light On the Roots of al Qaeda Terror

DERBENT, Russia -- On a winter night five years ago, Ayman al-Zawahri slipped into Russia across a narrow wedge of land between the Caspian Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. Dr. Zawahri, now America's most wanted man after Osama bin Laden, was on a risky clandestine mission as head of Egyptian Islamic Jihad, a militant group that was scattered, battered and nearly bankrupt after years on the run.

"Dr. Zawahri and Mr. bin Laden announced an alliance dedicated to killing Americans, a task they called the 'duty of every Muslim.'"

Of course. What better way to serve their "god"?

Theirs is a "god" of hate, murder, suicide, terror, death, and hell?

They call "him" "Allah".

Do Muslims the world over agree that this "god" is "Allah"? That "Allah" is this "god"? That the "god" whom they worship is the "god" of bin Laden and Zawahri? The world awaits their answer.

How this "god" loves killing!

Well, "he" is a "god" of death; what else could anyone expect?

This is a "god" that thrills at the sound of a suicide exploding in a crowded marketplace, that loves the smell of exploding flesh and burning hair, that loves the screams of anguish and pain, the taste of blood, the sight of arms and legs and pieces of flesh blasted over streets and shops! that roars with laughter at the sight of a baby or a kitten dressed as a suicide bomber, at the spectre of Muslims dancing in the streets to celebrate the massacre of thousands of innocent people--especially Americans!

How better to serve "him" than by "killing Americans"--or anyone else for that matter?

Zawahri is the successor to Dr. Joseph Mengele. They have worshipped the same "god" and served "him" well.

Muslims the world over should decide whether the "god" they worship is the same "god" that bin Laden and Zawahri worship.

If it is the same, then they should increase the bloodshed, terror, murder, death, suicide, etc., and thus serve "him" even better! That is, assuming that they remain unconcerned about the reaction of the rest of the world.

If it is not the same, they would be wise to make this clear and eliminate these heretics and blasphemers and their heretical brand of Islam forthwith.

The supreme irony, is that these fools expect their "god" to favor them. They will hear "his" hideous laugh roaring through hell throughout eternity--and roaring at them for doing "his" evil work while damning themselves to serve as "his" prey.

Such is a pact with the devil.

According to Arab analysts, al-Zawahiri was instrumental in forging the coalition of al-Jihad (or the wing of it he now controls after its fragmentation by Egyptian security authorities several years ago), Bin Laden;s forces, two Pakistani groups and another from Bangladesh in February 1998 with the purpose of waging war on the USA. The hundreds of al-Jihad members" estimates range as high as 1,000, about one-third of Bin Laden's force in Afghanistan" with al-Zawahiri in Afghanistan formed a hard core of seasoned militants around which the coalition, the International Front for Fighting Jews and Crusaders, has been built. Al-Zawahiri has been a central figure in the conflict waged by Islamic zealots in Egypt since the 1970s, fighting alongside the main Islamic group, al-Gamaa al-Islamiya, with the aim of establishing an Islamic state. Indeed, al-Zawahiri has been active since 1966, when as a boy of 15, he was arrested for membership of al-Ilkwan al-Muslimun, the Muslim Brotherhood. The Islamic movement, committed to purging Egyptian society of foreign influences, particularly the British, was founded in 1928 by Egyptian schoolteacher Hassan al-Banna.
