No Framers! No "Living Document!" Authors - DocumentS!

This article is intended to stimulate a vigorous debate:

I say that the Supreme Court is said to have the responsibly of deciding whether a case adheres to the Constitution or not.

I say that the Supremes Court is responsible to decide whether a case adheres to the Founding Documents or not.

What do I mean? I’ve listened to a lot of political debate over the last 4 decades during which I have been politically aware (in 1960 I stayed up until 1AM Central time until Walter Kronkite said Kennedy won – I’m Catholic and at the time I rejoiced), and there is one very important proposition that I have not heard argued.

This may sound sophomoric but it is intrinsic to this discussion; If there were no “Declaration of Independence,” there would be no “United States Constitution.”

Need proof? Why might you sit around and write rules for an exercise that does not exist? Would you write; “three strikes and you’re out” then from there create the game of Baseball? No…I don’t think that’s the end from which creative people start.

I've used my psychic powers and concluded that the AUTHORS (I won’t say framers, that would be the same as calling Leonardo da Vinci the “framer” of the Mona Lisa, no, no, no these men were the Authors) knew whereof they spoke...(in case you are a Constitutional Lawyer that means)…they meant what they were saying, and said what they meant. They worked very hard to say things in a way that would be difficult to misinterpret. And their lives depended on what they said.

A large number of the Authers and Signers died creating the United States of America…a Republic for which I have stood.

. Name any member, ever, of the “Supreme Court” who died defending his Country! Zero?

Bottom line: Since the Declaration of Independence refers to “our Creator,” every aspect of the Constitution must be considered in that light…(again for you Con Laws – no Declaration – no Constitution!

Therefore in reading the Constitution, from every perspective we must consider “under God…or G-d…or Allah or whichever name he instructs you to call him.)

Oh! You’re an atheist? Well…personally, I don’t care at all about anything I don’t BELIEVE in!

So! God is in the deal!

Next?!?

Walter Kronkite said Kennedy won

If you were old enough to have stayed up in 1960 to listen to the returns, you would know Kronkite is spelled with a C. Walter's name was on the screen contsantly.

Just for the record, You spell LIAR WITH A Capital L.

Just a little nitpicking, winning is the point, not dying.

Sorry I didn't remember how Walter's last name is spelled.

But what's with the LIAR thing? I missed your point.

I guess I should have included a "J/K" or something. After the first two replies from Common Tator and that other guy I was trying to make a humorous reference to the "All your base..." thingie.

Didn't realize you'd take me so seriously.
