McKinney to Headline Green Party Event
ROLL CALL ^ | 7/1/02

Posted on 07/01/2002 6:48:20 AM PDT by areafiftyone

Democratic Rep. Cynthia McKinney (Ga.) is scheduled to be one of the keynote speakers at a political rally held in conjunction with the Green Party's midterm convention later this month.

The Green's convention is scheduled to take place July 18-21 in Philadelphia. McKinney will address the rally July 19.

Green Party political coordinator Dean Myerson said while it is uncommon for any Member of Congress to take part in the convention, the party's already good relationship with McKinney has evolved in recent years.

He said the Congresswoman "has been a long supporter of election reform," and the party also agrees with McKinney's often controversial stances.

"The brave and courageous positions she's been taking and gotten a lot of criticism for has led to a lot of support within the Green Party," Myerson said.

"She's certainly known as one of the most progressive Members of the Democratic Party," he added.

McKinney is facing a potentially competitive challenge from former state Judge Denise Majette (D) in an Aug. 20 primary. Myerson said he didn't expect the party to take a collectively active role in the race.

"I'm not aware of any formal assistance from the Green Party, but I imagine there might be some from individuals," he said.

Heck, she might as well. She's apparently always been marginalized in the far left-wing extremist camp. Might as well make it official!

Cynthia McKinney apparently has become the spokesperson for a lot of the "progressive" causes. The most important one thus far, is to humble the United States before the world, and if that means that the Green effort should be directed toward support of the Islamists, then that is the direction they shall take. "Green" once was likened to a watermelon, green on the outside, but Red on the inside.

So far as anyone can determine, the Islamists have no particular like or dislike of that peculiar perversion of the Twentieth Century, Marxist socialism, but practice a variety of theocracy unique to themselves alone. What is astonishing is that the "Greens" would be willing to forge any kind of alliance with zealots who despise them (the "Greens") as much as they despise all the emblems of accumulated wealth of Western civilization. Unless the "Greens" stand ready to convert en masse to the most fundamental Islamic religion practices, they shall themselves most surely be targets of the Wrath of Allah.

This event is simply screaming for infiltration & documentation, isn't it?

Thanks for the ping.

Cindy may just be trying to tweak the Dem establishment for supporting her opponent.

Exactly. A split of the far left from the rest of the democrat party would be a good thing for this country.
