Sunday, June 30, 2002; Page B07 WATERLOO, Iowa -- Vermont Gov. Howard Dean,... was making points with the 10 party activists who joined him for coffee the other morning at the Country Kitchen cafe. He had been asked where he would find fault with President Bush, and he replied, "As far as domestic policy is concerned, I can't think of anything he's done that I agree with." ... And then he added, almost as a throwaway line, "I think he's done a good job on the war on terrorism." "Are you sure?" responded Vi Neil, a veteran Democratic worker and the wife of Dave Neil, the head of the United Auto Workers in Iowa. "A lot of us think we are wasting a lot of money on trying to find the guy with the beard [Osama bin Laden]. We have to find a new way to fight terrorism."

David Broder, liberal that he is does sometimes actually engage in some real leg work and analysis. I think he is on to something and the left rats are beginning to stir. The Islamowackos are going to enshrined as the surrogates for the Viet Cong. You can almost hear them chanting "all we are saying is give peace a chance..."

How soon will it be before rat leaders start testing the water on being for "peace".

"I am very worried about our foreign policy." Why? "I think we are acting like the Ugly American," she said. "We're number one. Our president is from Texas. Here's what we expect you to do. Now, do it."

Liberals hate Texans.

They’d much rather have some bearded former professor, with a penchant for leather-patched elbows and young boys, representing them than a man who can ride a horse and shoot a gun.

In the 90's, Broder seemed to rarely take any time to remove his lips from the buttocks of the Klinton administration. Now he seems to have more time to doing his reporting job. Regardless, this article is a joke. The wild eyed leftists, in which these people are, clearly do not represent the average American. I am sure that like most anti-American radicals, when they say the same nonsense out in public or the family dinner table they are looked at like their out of their mind.
