COMMERCE TOWNSHIP -- When Gordon Traskos unpacks his concession trailer -- where he serves pickles, hot dogs, hamburgers and fresh-squeezed lemonade -- he is also packing heat now. Traskos, 66, carries his .45-caliber Kimber with him on most days -- not because he feels unsafe, but because he feels safer with it, he said. "I don't feel uncomfortable if I'm not carrying it," said the semi-retired manager of a family-owned hardware store. "I just like being able to have it when I want."

But isn't this something we already know. It baffles be as to why the county prosecutors resigned in protest. Protest of what? Ignorance? All the studies I've seen is that crime either stays the same or decreases with restrictions on concealed weapons eased.

I would compare it to a factory lay-off due to a decrease in production. Supply and demand. Too many prosecutors, not enough crime. Let's hope the factory closes for good. Abolish gun laws.

Exactly. The gun grabbing leadership oppose things like allowing concealed carry not because they fear crime will go up, but because they know it will go down. Prosecutors don't want crime to go down. They want the job security that comes with having crime go up.

The prosecutors aren't really protesting the law, they are protesting reallity. They don't want ordinary people armed. Period. It contradicts their understanding of the universe, in which they are the superior enlightened ones, and everyone else is a stupid, immoral, dirty serf.

Serfs who want to carry guns show dangerous tendencies of being superior free men and women.

I think their resignations should be welcomed, as they seemt to be ignorant of the people's right to bear arms. Let them be replaced with enlightenedindividuals who value and respect the people's right to bear arms.
