Pak offers naval facilities to China

Moscow, June 29. (PTI): Pakistan has offered China naval facilities and listening posts on its Makrana Coast to keep an eye on Indian and American activities in the Arabian Sea and the Gulf, a Russian weekly reported.

During their visits to Beijing in 2000, Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf and Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz promised to provide Chinese Navy port facilities in Gwadar and Ormara naval bases, 'Nezavisimoye Voyennoye Obozreniye' (Independent Military Review) weekly reported in its latest issue.

They also offered to allow China to build a monitoring station on Makrana Coast to intercept US communications in the Gulf.

China has already allocated 240 million dollars for the development of Gwadar port in Balochistan and 200 million dollars for the construction of a coastal highway linking Gwadar with Karachi, the weekly wrote in the article titled 'Beijing as Guarantor of Pakistan's Security.'

While Beijing plans to use its presence in Balochistan for monitoring the US military activity in the Persian Gulf, Pakistan is compelled to depend on the Chinese navy since its own navy is weaker than that of India.

"In Islamabad's view, the presence of Chinese warships in the Pakistani territorial waters would deter surprise attacks by the Indian Navy on its installations on Makrana Coast," it said.

Yeah. That Pak president/dictator is playing a dangerous game. I expect that Rumsfield will explain it to him.

I find it a little scary-- China is lined up with Pakistan, Cuba, and their mentally defective child North Korea, along with most of the middle eastern miscreants. Russia, India, and Europe (well, some days) line up with us, along with Australia & Canada, when they're in the mood. It has all the makings of a really ugly world war, doesn't it?

Again, a bullsh!t world of Islam: they welcome the profoundly atheist (if not antireligious) China, yet make war against the West, where all are free to practice any religion they so choose, including Islam. Such action only further confirms the suspicion that Islam is no more than a political movement disguised as a religion.

Pakistan is a natural ally for China. As a nation on India's west flank it aids China in containing India's ambitions. Close to the Persian Gulf, it can monitor activities there or help close the gulf in the event of hostilities. As a Muslim country Pakistan can help China understand and control the western provinces and border countries in Central Asia. It is also a bridge to the oil rich Muslim countries.

China is a natural ally for Pakistan. China can help Pakistan by allowing access to the vast Chinese market. China also serves as a counterweight to the large Indian nation. China and India frequently engage in small border fights in a disputed area of over 129,000 square kilometers.

An alliance will trap India between two hostile large population nations. It will also increase the likelihood of at least a small scale nuclear confrontation since all three nations have nuclear weapons.

Islamists have there own agenda, but China will do anything it can to have the Islamists be a surrogate for their own antipathy toward the U.S. Remember how Jiang reportedly loved the videos of the 9-11 attack.

Islam isn't a political movement disguised as a religion. It is a religion that is a political movement. According to Muslims, the Quran is all that you need. It is a religious code, judicial code, political system and social guide all in one. Muhammed was both religious and political leader and used the Quran as his guide therefore all Muslims should. Muslims are stuck in the 7th Century politically. Muhammed died at the age of 60. He only ruled the world for 10 years. Is that enough time to form a solid political system?

Muslims aim to create a one world government. Other religions would be tolerated (not the same as religious freedom) but only Muslims could rule. There would be no constitution, only the Quran. The judges wuld all be religious leaders. All law would be based on the Quran.

It has to be done in stages. They have a plan. First comes Khilafah - conversion to Islamic states where Muslims are a majority. Next, all Islamic states are merged into one. After that, all former Muslim territories are restored to Islam (includes Spain, Greece, Turkey, Balkans and other "lost territory"). Then, all infidel states are converted. Finally, the whole world is brought into the one world government. The last Khalifa was the Ottoman empire. It limped along for several years until it finally collapsed after World War One.

This is supposed to bring peace and prosperity to all and progress in the sciences. However, Muslims can't explain why the Arab Muslim nations have been in constant turmoil since their independence in the 20th century. How can the Muslims fix everyone's problems when the Muslims can't fix the problems in the countries they control now?

The spread of the Muslims was stopped by the French in West Europe, the Byzantines in East Europe, and the Mongols in Asia.

Thanks for the excellent maps - the Chinese strategy of controlling Pakistan and Burma is part of their plan to squeeze out India and control the sea routes.

An excellent post on what Islam is really about and which countries we need to be wary of. The budding friendship between ChiComs and Pakistan deserves more attention. Pakistan will sell themselves to the highest bidder.

.....the Chinese strategy of controlling Pakistan and Burma is part of their plan to squeeze out India and control the sea routes.....

The China hopes to become the regional power and at least a minor global power. It wishes to turn the East China Sea and South China Sea into Chinese lakes. It claims islands in both that are under the jurisdiction of other countries. It will try to intimidate its neighbors into submission. Eventually they will either become vassal states as the land neighbors have been in the past or they will unite as West Europe did in the 1949 to counter the USSR.. It could go either way.

The countries bordering China have never been part of China except for brief periods. A major exception was the time of Mongol rule but that was China ruled by another people. Southeast Asia has always been difficult for China to control. Invasion by China into Burma would invite trouble from Burmese tribes scattered across southern China. Korea would also be a problem. China has no hope of controlling the fierce tribes of northern Pakistan.

Americans tend to forget that Asia in general is densely populated over widely varying terrain. It makes actually control of large land areas difficult at best. Most of the empires in Asia only controlled large plain regions. China must have partners not vassals to be a regional power. If it tries to rule by force it will fail in the long run.

Control of the sea routes will require China to build and maintain a large Navy. All of the countries on the continent have the same problem here. It is expensive to maintain a large Navy while also maintaining the large Army that is required for defense against large hostile populations.

Pakistan has little choice. It must have a powerful ally. It is too weak on its own. The population is ethnicly divided with strong separatist movements. Without a dictatorship, the country would fall apart.

.....The New Axis.....

That is an interesting globe-map. I don't see how Yugoslavia or Albania are a part of the axis. Iran and Iraq would definately not be in the same group. Persia and Mesopotamia have been at odds with each other since the beginnings of written history. I don't see how they could unite. They are divided by religion and race. Where can I find out more about this map?
