DETROIT (AP) - A man was charged Saturday with fatally shooting his 20-month-old daughter and wounding his 3-year-old son after arguing with the children's mother.
Police said Antonio Duane Ware, 24, shot his daughter, Amari Ware, and his son, Andreyus Ware, late Thursday at the mother's home. Andreyus was treated for a grazing wound to one ear and released.
The children's mother, Victoria Seldon, 24, and sister, 4-year-old Alexis, were not injured.
Investigators were told that Seldon and Ware argued over money, and that Seldon also was ending her relationship with Ware, police Cmdr. Dennis Richardson said.
Ware was arraigned Saturday on charges of first-degree murder and felony murder; prosecutors said he also would be charged with three counts of assault with intent to murder.
He could face life in prison if convicted of any of the murder or assault charges.

Horrifying! Hard to believe how anyone could do this to their own flesh and blood.

Another thread had another Detroit Denizen killing her two kids by leaving them in the car for three hours while getting her hair done.

I posted both - It is simpy shocking how some people behave toward their children, like they were worthless or mere fodder for arguments.

"Hard to believe how anyone could do this to their own flesh and blood."Since Roe v. Wade, it's happened 42 million times right here in the US. That's about 1.4 million per year or 3,836 per day. Oliver Twist was a comic book compared to us. So why should it surprise us that people treat their own flesh and blood the same way after they're born?

Why is it he could face life? Why isn't that mandatory for murder? I guess it's not his fault, the gun made him do it.

"He could face life in prison if convicted of any of the murder or assault charges."As usual, AP gets it wrong. Nobody serves "life" for assault, only for murder. And even then, it's usually only 7-15 years.

Give him to me.
To: Bonaparte
I understand it does happen, quite often in fact. But what I don't understand, is how can a person look at the child they helped to create and actually destroy that life.

Ive got both of my kids climbing all over me now, how can someone do such a thing. Getting her hair done?? I believe depraved indifference is equal to second degree murder.

He needs killing.

Give him to me. If they do, bring him to Texas.
The fire ants are very hungry.

They do it with a lie that puts the conscience to sleep. A prescious human being becomes an inconvenient object or, at best, a nettlesome little animal. Easy to kill somebody they've not only dehumanized as an object or animal, but have also indicted as having committed an "offense" against them.

Horrifying indeed. We have no regard for life anymore. So, here goes another child killing...the killing of innocence. Hope these children are now at peace and in the arms of the Lord...they sure deserve better than what they got on earth. I am talking about the children who were left in the car to die also.

I am in tears at the thought of a parent's callous opinion of the worth of their children's lives. May God wreak his vengence on their being.
cubreporter; I too am speaking of the other thread as well as this one.

Yes I know. In fact...it's for ALL the children who are hurt, maimed or killed at the hands of the very people who should be loving and protecting them. We should all be shedding tears for these children and asking out loud and clear why this is happening? Where is the love that comes with the birth of a child? We are now trapping skunks that decided to nest under our porch. The trapper told us if the babies are caught first, the mother skunk will tear that cage apart to free them. Imagine that! A mother who would do anything to protect her little ones. Too bad the same can't be said for the human mothers of these horrific crimes. By the way, the mother skunk and babies will be relocated together back into the forest. :) Wouldn't have it any other way. God bless the children and the critters as well.

And God Bless You.
I just got my children back after a very long court battle.
My ex husband took off with them in early November. I got them back from him 3 weeks later. Then the courts took them from me on the recommendation of a court appointed special advocate-(who, by the way was an old friend of my ex).
They (the court and the advocate) suggested that my mother keep them until the final hearings date. It was 2 months before I got them back that time. I had to pay 20 dollars an hour to see them in a supervised visitation facility.
In the end, My children were given to me completely. He will have visitation, but he has to be actively involved in counseling in order to have his visitation.
I could not even think of hurting my children, regardless of how I feel about the father, or any other influence.
My children (ages 7 and 2) are my life. I would die to protect them. I see this thread and I praise God that the fights that my ex and I had on occasion, did not end like this.
