The founders applied much of French philosophy to the American situation. You can whine all you want, but it an undisputed fact. Now, since you disagree with my assessment, can you outline why the system was corrupted so quickly, or are you going to continue rant about despotism?

Factors in the corruption:

1. The continued teaching Judao-Christian ethics rather than liberal ethics.
2. The continual propaganda that America is a Christian nation. We are not a Christian nation, we are a secular nation founded on liberal values that are irreconcilable with the Bible.
3. The Pledge of Allegiance teaching Americans to pledge allegiance to the symbol of their government rather than the constitution on which the government is based.
4. The political right's insistance that since the left rules top-down from the federal level that it should do the same. The political right, once the standard bearer of local government and states rights tries to carry out the majority of its policies from the federal government now. Examples: federal laws that force local libraries to buy filters even if the community doesn't want them, outlaw drugs within states' borders which is a violation of state sovereignty, attempts to institute national controls on what materials can be published or how they can be published.
5. The adoption of the democratic idea that the people can outlaw or regulate anything they want for any reason they want if it isn't specifically protected by a constitutional provision by the Right. The political right generally does not acknowledge anymore the idea that there must be a clear and present need for a law that can be reconciled with natural rights.
6. The unwillingness of the Right to teach reason and logic as virtues to kids because reason and logic often go against religion. This has left the feel-good, illogic segment of the left to rule classrooms and teach emotions and self-esteem over reason and striving for excellence.

lol...so its the Christians who are at fault again. Funny, since it was the Christians who founded the country and many of them who developed the Amrican political situation. If only the atheists would come and save us! Too bad for you that Albania is so far away, or that the godless soviet union has fallen. What a utopia it would have been!
