Constitution Abolishes U.S.
John L. Perry
June 27, 2002

I pledge allegiance to an empty flag pole of the United States of America for which it stands, one nation, invisible, disavowing God, no longer in existence.

Having found the pledge to Old Glory unconstitutional for mentioning God, it wasn't long until American courts struck down every other invocation of deity.

Heady with power to legislate the cult of political correctness, judges at every level across the land began erasing God as if the Creator never existed. It was a gigantic domino effect. Publishing houses specializing in history and political science textbooks could not keep up with the rampant revisions.

Next to go down the crapper after the pledge was the venerable "In God We Trust" stamped and printed on all United States coins and currency.

Mustn't Be Different

Members of Congress scrambled to fire their chaplains and discontinue opening sessions with prayer.

The Supremes, not to be perceived as hypocrites, dispensed with "God save this honorable court," which prompted one wag to comment: "At least they got that half-right."

Clerks of courts gathered up their Holy Bibles and, shunning environmental incorrectness, deposited them in recycling bins. Witnesses were no longer required to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help them God.

To Tell the Truth …

This in turn led to the nullification of perjury statutes, there being no longer any oath for holding liars accountable.

That fallen domino tipped over the next: Juries, also no longer oath-bound, were passing out not-guilty verdicts left and right, unable to discern manufactured from authentic testimony.

Felony convictions were appealed in such number that governors in state after state had no recourse but to grant wholesale pardons.

Prison Reform

Jailers, wardens and executioners were fired in droves, having fewer and fewer inmates to contend with.

Convicted murderers and rapists were back on the streets doing business at the same old stands.

Taking their cues from those tumbled dominoes, larcenous corporate executives and their kept auditors heaved great sighs of relief and hired creative writers from Hollywood to prepare stock offerings and balance sheets.

Sorry, Kate Smith

The Federal Communications Commission issued warnings to radio and television outlets not to air such unconstitutional songs as "God Bless America." Those regulated stations that defied the FCC had their broadcast licenses jerked.

Churches and other religious institutions lost tax-exempt status. Contributors were no longer permitted by the Internal Revenue Service to claim tax deductibility.

In numerous cities, suits were filed successfully by non-believers to gag priests, ministers and rabbis who uttered the name of God in services. Upon threat of having pew hymnals confiscated by roaming volunteer patriotic-correctness squads, church choirs ceased singing words and took up humming.

Well, Doggone!

Dyslexic students were sent to detention when they tried to spell "dog." Many people desisted taking the name of the Lord in vain, as the term "God" had lost all significance. Radio jocks and screenwriters scurried around, trying to find suitable substitutes for blasphemy.

On some military camps, entire platoons of new recruits who resented being made to get out of bed before noon and wear non-baggy pants walked off, noting, correctly, that they hadn't been sworn into service. The malaise spread, as fed-up soldiers, sailors and airmen took to ignoring the Stars and Stripes and stopped saluting officers. Orders went ignored or openly defied.

With the U.S. military on such wobbly pins, Fidel Castro down in Havana considered for an entire cigar whether to send an expeditionary force of a dozen Cuban troops to take over the United States, but decided instead to give it a little more time and then do it by e-mail.

Back to Square 1776

It came as no surprise when the U.S. Supreme Court, having bought the elimination of God from the Pledge of Allegiance, held in a 6-to-3 decision:

" … As evidenced by these words in the Declaration of Independence – 'the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and nature's God entitle them' and 'are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights' – it is manifestly clear beyond any dispute that this nation was indeed founded on the belief in God.

"Therefore, we find that the United States of America is in violation of the Constitution of the United States, which we hold forbids the recognition and mention of God, and is hereby and forthwith abolished as being patently unconstitutional.

"Further, we censure ourselves for having found no practical way in which to write this opinion without uttering the G-word."

Radio jocks and screenwriters scurried around, trying to find suitable substitutes for blasphemy.

"Blasphemy is an artistic effect, because blasphemy depends upon a philosophic conviction. Blasphemy depends upon belief and is fading with it. If any one doubts this, let him sit down seriously and try to think blasphemous thoughts about Thor. I think his family will find him at the end of the day in a state of some exhaustion." [G.K. Chesterton, in Heretics]

Breaking News

U. S. Supreme Court Ruled today that the U. S. Government may no longer use the western calendar because it is based on the death of the Son of God. Since the separation of church and state dictates that there can be no religious influences in the activities of the government, the U. S. Government must now us the real year in which the universe began, some 13,000,000,000 years ago. Since it would be impractical to add all those digits to the many government forms, the Justices recognize that the year may be abbreviated to 4 digits. Effectively immediately, the U.S. Government calendar begins at 0000.

Upon review of the Declaration of Independence, the Supreme Court has ruled it null and void, citing the mention of the word God and of the Creator. The Unitied States, reversing 226 years of history, relinquishes its sovereignity and returns to status of British colony.

What's new? You know I (and yourself) get attacked around here for looking back fondly to that time when these United States were still a Republic. Yes they had their faults, and yes there were some changes that needed to be made (just not as bloodily). But one thing 99% of them held in respect and that was God Almighty. We might not have been the biggest nation on the block, but we held our own. And at least your and my ancestors knew God's place in this nation of states. At that was at the head of them. I believe that's another cause that is never broached, but I do believe it was there.

Well it would be consistent.

My friend, truer words were never spoken. There's a reason that the South is known as the "Bible Belt".

"Is there hope?"

Yes, there is! Especially if you trust in a loving God...

But, never ever let em steal your joy, cause if they get your joy, they get your will to fight!

Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Say goodbye to B.C. and A.D.

Oh Yes, But the good news is...

Isaiah 51:1 Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock [whence] ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit [whence] ye are digged.

Isaiah 51:2 Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah [that] bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.

Isaiah 51:3 For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

Isaiah 51:4 Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.

Isaiah 51:5 My righteousness [is] near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.

Isaiah 51:6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.

Isaiah 51:7 Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart [is] my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.

Isaiah 51:8 For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.

Isaiah 51:9 Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. [Art] thou not it that hath cut Rahab, [and] wounded the dragon?

Isaiah 51:10 [Art] thou not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?

Isaiah 51:11 Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy [shall be] upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; [and] sorrow and mourning shall flee away.

Isaiah 51:12 I, [even] I, [am] he that comforteth you: who [art] thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man [that] shall die, and of the son of man [which] shall be made [as] grass;

Birth. (not death).

Anno Domini -- In the Year of Our Lord (insert number of years here).
