Gilman is a terrific man, a wonderful intellect, and a man who has spent a lifetime in Congress. But his time, like that of Dick Armey, and perhaps like J.C. Watts is up. The Congress will continue without his input, and uses will be found for him for the rest of his life. Why screw up a good life by being a bad loser?
