Didn't America already have NATO AWACS aircraft patrolling over it's territory? -(Something that would have violated the Posse Commitatus Act were it U.S. AWACS aircraft.)
The precedent has already been set, and nobody noticed. They were too busy putting American flag stickers on their vehicles.

The Posse Commitatus Act only prevents the military from being used for law enforcement. It in no way prevents the US military from flying Combat Air Patrols over the USA.

No, we noticed and many FReepers commented on it. We were told to shut up, though. I put those magnetic flag deals on my cars. They last longer and don't mess up in the car wash the way decasl and stickers do.
