But since when is one REQUIRED to have health insurance ???

That's not my point. Even "normal" births are expensive. Maybe they do well enough to think they had that covered. But spending money on a vacation, knowing they would soon be facing huge medical expenses (like I said, even with normal delivery), just doesn't seem responsible. Admittedly, I don't have all the facts.

If it's not responsibile, then it's THEIR problem, not YOURS or MINE. The guy seemed willing to accept responsibility for the bills. That should have ended things. . .

Joshua is only 22. Maybe he was too young to realize just how delicate and valuable good health is, and the devastating toll that debt can take on your life. Acquiring $1,000,000 in debt would cripple any family, but to be hit when you're still getting established as a family and with a business, espeically in the Clinton downturn, well, I don't envy them in the least.

If this guy thinks he can pay off $1,000,000 in debt in thirty years, he's either very naive or can't work a calculator.
