[history]
A St. Augustine woman died Wednesday after running a red light, hitting two trees and crashing her car into a house, authorities said.
The woman was about 80 but her name and exact age weren't released because her family hasn't been notified, said Kevin Kelshaw, spokesman for the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office. No one else was hurt.

Wow.. talk about a wild ride! It's surprising that she didn't take a few Floridians with her.

She had probably been doing tequila shooters at the bingo parlor. 5 day waiting period for bingo parlors. Do it for the geriatrics.

The article also mentioned that the woman was on her way to a precint office to turn in several thousand butterfly ballots ...

Love that last line ... "The woman was not wearing a seat belt." It would have made all the difference.

Unfortunately, voter registration does not necessarily die with the voter.

"The woman was not wearing a seat belt."I'd bet she had at least a couple of belts...
