Very insightful article. Did we have academics and hand-wringers in WWII saying that attacking the Japanese cities would only lead to many more generations of kamikase bombers? If so, we are fortunate that leaders of the caliber of Truman didn't listen to them. We now have found new leaders that are not afraid to speak truth to evil. The future of the Palestinians is in their own hands. President Bush has given them a last chance to avoid devastation. Will they choose wisely? Unfortunately, Jacoby is probably right.
