Man Tells Authorities He Killed Daughter Ellison Leads Police To Body Posted: 2:22 p.m. CDT June 26, 2002 Updated: 5:05 p.m. CDT June 26, 2002
CHANDLER, Okla. -- A man was arrested Wednesday after telling authorities he killed his 5-year-old daughter and leading officers to her body.
Michael Ellison (pictured, right), 28, was in the Lincoln County jail on a first-degree murder complaint, Sheriff Dale McNelly said.
The sheriff said Ellison was arrested about 3 a.m. after investigators questioned him about his daughter's disappearance.
Ellison told deputies how the girl died and where her body was, McNelly said.
Her body was found near a bridge off a dirt road (pictured, left).
Authorities found the child's body Wednesday morning. A spokeswoman for the state medical examiner's office said the cause of death had not been determined.
The sheriff's department began looking for the girl about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. McNelly said witnesses last saw the girl at her house with her father Friday or Saturday.
The girl and two boys, ages 3 and 7, were staying with their father. The children's parents are separated, the sheriff said.
The boys are now in the custody of the Department of Human Services.

I mean, maybe he's just a believer in improving the species, and he saw that his daughter just didn't cut the mustard. His genetic material, right?
Who's to say he was not within his rights to dispose of that particular DNA pattern? I mean, it's not like there's any sort of Supreme Being saying he shouldn't, now is there.
