The ninth circuit worries that the mention of God somehow implies Jesus, yet their own website calender shows the court is off for "CHRISTMAS". (Scroll to bottom)

You got it. If they want separation of church from state they should work on the holiday. Now that is a true example of hypocrisy - doing something at the same time you are condeming it.

I called their personnel office to ask about the appropriateness of them taking off on Jesus' Birthday. Got an answer machine, but I feel better.

I don't think that declaring the
Pledge unconstitutional is so terrible.
If you think that Martin Luther King is the ONLY american with a national holiday, this 9th Ciircuit Court does not add that much.
