That is because Bush knows what he believes. Clinton needed those "advisors" to take a poll and figure out what would be popular.
I had been told that the President was attending the same liberal Methodist church that Clinton attended; but this piece disabused me of that false notion.

I don't think his choice of church really matters. It's evident that he REALLY believes, and that's enough for me.
I also don't think he needs to "set an example" by being photographed attending services. He lives his faith in all that he does and says, and that is a good enough example for me.
