PJ, Some interesting developments since this thread went up. First, William Pitt of one Dem web site, wrote to another Dem site hosting the Nader correspondence, asking them to remove it because the FR posters here are who made Pitt famous. Pitt said there is a lesson to be learned, but, I read the site's reply to Mr. Pitt, and they blew him off.

To make matters worse, when Pitt then posted this on the Dem site, other Dem posters hurled insults at him, because they are either still furious at Nader, or, they support Nader. In short, it was like RAT ATTACK 2, the sequel.

Then, as if rushing to produce the next horrific installment of this tale, Pitt wrote a scathing essay crticizing his fellow posters at that site, and the Left, claiming they are committing "suicide." Shortly thereafter -- someone said William Pitt was leaving that site.

I had no idea one little thread from me here on FR would cause so much grief.

William Pitt, if you see this, please know my comments to you here were in jest, and were solely my own opinion.

I saw that other posters at those sites were very cruel to you, far more so than I was in my ribbing, as one even called you "The Resident Mind Control Expert." I realize that probably is hard -- to be more ridiculed by your own than by others outside! I hope you did not do anything foolish as a result of my thread here, or subsequent depression, as depression can be serious business. And, I hope you get some help if you need it. Also, please note that I am the one who freepmailed everyone earlier in this thread, not some shadowly figure from the GOP. And, everything I did here was my own idea and no one else's. Again, I hope you are OK, William Pitt. Life is too short not to enjoy it. Who knows. Maybe someday you will go independent like I did. (I am a former Dem.)

Finally, PJ, I apologize to you if this thread unintentionally altered a source of your mirth, as it appears to have done.
