Experts cast doubt on FBI's statistics : Bay Area data called too sketchy to analyze

Crime in nearly a dozen big Bay Area cities, which has been declining for 10 years, went back up last year, according to figures released Monday by the FBI.

But experts who study the causes of crime say this does not seem to be a big problem, largely because of the way crime statistics are created -- the FBI releases simply the number of crimes committed in a given city without correlating that number with an increase in population.

"Experts said the data released by the FBI yesterday were just too sketchy and incomplete for serious analysis."

I got a peek at next years' FBI crime numbers: 47, 54, 125, 87, and 89 (rounded for clarity).

What's the point in publishing numbers if they're not adjusted to population? Our tax dollars at work.

Don't book much on any of these stats. I used to compile crime stats for a living. When the administration wanted more money to fight crime, the crime stats were up. When they wanted to show what a great job they were doing fighting crime, the stats were down. If they wanted a reduction in violent crime, rape was a sex crime. If they wanted a reduction in sex crimes, rape was a violent crime. BS, BS, BS, everywhere BS.

I believe that everyone of these high increase in crimes are cities that voted big for Goron, have rat mayors and city councils, rat DA's in the counties and their news papers are criminal coddling fishwraps:

Berkeley, Concord, Daly City, Fremont, Oakland, San Jose, Santa Clara, Santa Rosa and Vallejo -- reported increases in crime, ranging from 10.5 percent in Santa Rosa to nearly 20 percent in Berkeley.

Makes you wonder how many of these felons voted for Goron?

Tennessee is getting a new crime report. They will actually count every offence committed by a criminal in the commission of a crime for the first time...and expand the types of crimes they gather data on. The press has already spun it..boo hoo you are making our cities like Memphis which has had 76 homicides this year vs 68 last year look bad. boo hoo.
