Sorry if this is a duplicate post--I did try to see if this had been posted already and couldn't pull up anything.
"Preaching abstinence is a waste of time."--great. So now the AIDS 'activists' are teaching children in South Africa how to have oral sex. No surprises here, but very sad for the children whose lives are at stake.

Teenagers should be taught that engaging in any kind of sexual activity before marriage (and lifelong commitment to one's partner) is inherently dangerous. While less dangerous than normal sex, oral sex is still dangerous and contributes to the spread of disease. Those African nations which have pushed abstinence seriously (like Uganda, as an example) have seen their AIDs rates drop dramatically. But the AIDs activists just can't bear to tell anyone to reduce their sexual activity. The main cause of the AIDs crisis in Africa is widespread promiscuity.

More than 50 percent of South Africans have engaged in sexual intercourse by their 16th birthday.Holy Moly!...Bunch of horny teeners over there...wait, is this about SA or hollywierd hills?, or east bumfart anywhere here in the US?
The die is cast, we're gonna have to live with it.

I'm wondering what the stats are here in the U.S. Wouldn't surprise me if we were running close to 50% also.
One major reason AIDS continues to spread in Africa is that their hospitals and clinics STILL re-use needles and don't use basic sterilizing techniques that U.S. hospitals use. One would think Bill Gates' millions could be put to better use in that area versus bl*w-job lessons for children.

I think that Jocelyn Elders still has a francise on teaching that masturbation thing. They could probably get her to teach that to African teens much cheaper. Latex optional.

He maintains that the transfer & sharing of ANY bodily fluid can transmit aids. The most likely is blood, but it is possible even with saliva.

Uhhh. AIDS can be spread by oral sex.

I'll look on the bright side. At least they aren't using my tax dollars to promote teenage perversion.

A major reason for so much teenage sex in South Africa is that many men rape or force themselves on young teenage girls. There is actually a myth that having sex with a virgin will cure aids. I'm so glad this "charity" is preserving the local culture.

Good point, Colorado tanker--I had forgotten about that angle, and you're absolutely right!!!
